I didn't see anything posted on this live testimony. Who's watching it and what are your thoughts?
Nifong was there when everyone was issuing threats in the courtroom. Before the judge came in.
What kind of threats?
What’s going on? I turned the channel, and when I came back they said something about shouting. Who?
The judge seems to be reading the riot act.
playing the judges comments before the hearing. That judge layed down the law.
He was standing up, saying it’s his court and if people can’t obey the rules he’ll put them in jail. Wow.
I remembered that from when the hearing took place. At least this judge didn’t put up with the crap in his courtroom but it appears Nifong loved it IMO.
The shouting was a death threat during one of the initial hearings. There has been no shouting in this hearing.

Death threats against the Duke players, specifically Seligmann at one of the judicial hearings on the case. The threats were made infront of Nifong by a member of the black panters group.
Please elaborate.

that was a video tape of the initial hearing, not this one.
Fox is running this live - they were playing a portion of an administrative hearing on the case where death threats were made to the players until the judge came in and put an end to it.
Funny, for all of Nifong’s love on prosecution, it was his job to prosecute those making vocal and obvious death threats against the players, yet he did nothing about it, except for smirk.
The Riot Act???
The threat was made during the initial hearing not this one. It was made by a man directly in back of Reid, who said, “I do not want to sit next to this piece of _ _ _ _, the mf’er. You are a dead man walking.”
Yes I know - others who are not watching thought the threats were being issued at the current, live hearing.

Appreciate the clarification.
IIRC, there was something about one of Nifong’s associates issuing some kind of threats to witnesses earier this week in this hearing. It was during a break or before court started. IIRC, the person issuing the threats was removed from the court room.
CourtTV is also covering this live (cable).
They may also be streaming it. Check their website.
I’m watching it on fox, for the cubicle bound these are good ways to hear the testimony.
Hi Tom, first day of summer vacation for me. Looks like it is going to be an interesting summer. I am going to start reading The Reagan Diaries today. (Actually I started about a week ago, but all the paper work was interferring so I bagged it until now.)
Seligmann’s testimony is over - personally I think he did very well. He clearly explained how he attempted to prove to Nifong his innocence. How his life and families life was impacted by Nifong’s actions.
I thought he did very well too. No questions these men were put through hell.
The so-called “Black Panthers” need to be put in their place. A collection of Nazi brownshirts.
Isn’t it odd that every news story doesn’t begin with the headline..........The DEMOCRAT Mike Nifong........

Those 3 young men have shown more class and character throughout this ordeal than Nifong has.
Nifong was out to hang them regardless of the evidence. [Maybe Nifong will get hung instead — and not necessarily by the neck.]

That isn’t going to happen. If anyone speaks out against them, or other racist’s loudmouths in the black community those who speakout are labled racist, white sheet wearers.

He used those three men for politics. When’s the last time you heard his name prefaced with “democrat” Mike Nifong?
They’re only a protected class because you put up with it. When a black person acts like a racist clown, they’re considered “real men”. They should STFU, or go find a country they like.
You’ve got to love the statements attributed to Nifong.
1. He “didn’t want to hear fiction” but false alligations of rape are ok.
2. “There is no such thing as an air-tight alibi” I guess video, DNA and receipts are not enough, what did Magnun have to admit she lied to exonorate these innocent players?
3. Nifong was going to do it “the old way” - Makes me wonder, how many people has Nifong convicted using DNA as his biggest piece of evidence?
Oh, just they typical kinds of things that fatigue clad, racist black panthers would yell at any white kid..........Lucky for him he was in a crowd.
I was spellbound by his testimony and in wonder of how this kid was able to hold on for a whole year against a judicial system gone mad.
The more I listened, the more I grew to hate that Nifong.
When I look at that good wholesome kid and how well he handled himself I couldn't help but think what is going thru Nifong's mind right now. Remorse? Sadness? or "how the hell can I get myself out of this mess?"
I suspect it was the latter because a person with such a lack of integrity only thinks about themself.......
I luckily caught it on XM and didn’t quite know what I was listening to at first. The more was said the more it dawned on me and the more enthralled I became. I have to tell you this was some high drama here. This young man is only 21 and is a credit to the human race.
I have a feeling Nigong will be disciplined, but will probably not lose his license to practice law.
Magnum will never be charged with making false alligations. The NOW hags will throw a fits, riots would break out in Durham and she would just claim insanity.
In the end, the families of the accused, now exonorated players are out hundreds of thousands of dollars, their reputation is still ruined to many in the US and they will deal with this for years to come. But that’s alright as long as Nifong was re-elected.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard it, except when the elections were taking place - and then it was an afterthought.
Don’t stop listening just yet. One more “defense” witness is on the way then Nifong will testify.
