I have seen this quote several times, and I think Lott is being misquoted. I think he said, “Talk radio is ruining America. We have to deal with that problem.”
Slight correction to what the illustrious (and self-absorbed) Senator from Mississippi had to say:
"Talk Radio is educating America on you and your colleagues underhanded shenannigans, Senator Lott. The Senate and Senators like you, Graham, Kennedy, et al, are the ones ruining America and we WILL deal with that problem come the next election!
It would behoove the Senator from the great state of Mississippi to look in the mirror and remind himself who he works for and that he can (and should) be replaced.
