Democrats on Romney and his imposition of HillaryCARE ...
I don't suppose that it would register with you at all to point out for the umpteenth time that Romney's Extending Health Insurance to All Americans is as far removed from "HillaryCARE" as coherent thought is a remote concept for Paris Hilton?
... on Mass. citizens (without their vote, of course):
Nonsense. The Massachusetts legislature wasn't duly elected by the people?
Sen. John Kerry to Don Imus: "I like this health care bill".
Nobody cares about what Carrey likes.
Sen. Hillary Clinton: "To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Note that she carefully stepped around the merits of the bill itself. She knows that it's nothing like her plan.
James Carville: "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Romney is an ascendant guy."
Yes, James, Romney is an ascendant guy. We finally agree on something. :)

It is interesting that Romney relies on the laudings of Carville and Hillary.

Your claim that Mass. citizens had a vote on socialistic RomneyCARE = HillaryCARE
is nonsense. Romney has a history of imposing his will without a vote.
Mass citizens never had a chance.

Oh, come on, have some fun. They’re all going to take cheap shots at each other.

That’s just it. As cheap shots go, this one is rather...well...complimentary. I just thought it was funny.

Mitt's health care plan is pro-free market, anti-freeloader. It's conservative to the core.

Congratulations! You've equaled the spin dispensed by the Giuliani faction before they decided to go sit in the corner.

What are you smoking? The illegal aliens still go to MA (Mitt did nothing)

There is no free market in MA since all MUST join
into Mitt's socialized medicine scheme.

I don’t know. It looked like he was being interviewed by a local station. Maybe the rest can be found on YouTube.

You are either forced to buy insurance, or they take away your personal tax exemption. Since illegals don’t file taxes, they’re in the clear!

Relies on the laudings of Carville and Hillary? That's a mighty big stretch! Using your political opposites' praises, though faint they may be, to your advantage is common practice.
Your claim that Mass. citizens had a vote on socialistic RomneyCARE = HillaryCARE is nonsense. Romney has a history of imposing his will without a vote. Mass citizens never had a chance.
So, in your alternate universe the people of Massachusetts did not duly elect their representives? And, still in your alternate universe, a minority-party governor of Massachesetts has God-like authority? Sounds like it could be the makings of a Sci Fi Channel series. :)

Obama is neither competent nor particularly smart or good at anything except packaging liberal Democrat talking points in a package the liberal media loves. We ought not build up the MSM’s hype machine. I call it “THE MENDACITY OF HYPE”.

This was passed by the Mass Legislature.
That’s the way the Republican form of Govt works.

Given the Mass leges refusal to allow a vote on gay marriage by voters, democracy is on a thin thread there, but let’s not ignore the facts.

There is the rub. No votes by the citizens for gay marriage.
No votes by the electorate for RomneyCARE=HillaryCARE
and furthermore, they cannot avoid it.

Perhaps the Mass citizens will be able to vote, but it will be 2012 ---- at least.

Reagan also suppported the Brady Bill and AWB. Romney holds the same position as Reagan did. The NRA endorsed the bill in Mass Romney signed.

Heck, it almost sounds like an endorsement. Good post, how'd you find it?

Reagan had the same position as Romney. Overwhelmingly he supported gun rights but like most Americans didn't think we should each have our own tanks. Reagan supported the Brady bill and limiting so-called Assault weapons. Would you vote for Reagan? (Personally, I am to the right of Reagan and Romney on guns but I would vote for either.)

"You do know that I'm a member of the NRA, and my position on the right to bear arms is well known...But I want you to know something else, and I am going to say it in clear, unmistakable language: I support the Brady bill, and I urge the Congress to enact it without further delay." Ronald Reagan

"Listen to the American public and to the law enforcement community and support a ban on the further manufacture of assault weapons.” Ronald Regan

“As a longtime gun owner and supporter of the right to bear arms, I, too, have carefully thought about this issue. I am convinced that the limitations imposed in this bill are absolutely necessary. I know there is heavy pressure on you to go the other way, but I strongly urge you to join me insupporting this bill. It must be passed.” Letter to former Rep. Scott Klug (R-WI) Ronald Reagan

You should review the provisions of HR 10/22. My .22 semi auto would be an assault weapon if this bill passes. Frankly, Reagan made a mistake. there’s no reason to repeat it.
