Leaving the GOP does little good...it is those who will stay and fight who will turn the tide. Who are the messengers cramming this ill advised immigration bill down our collective throats? Who is putting words in the mouths of others? What is this power of Ted Kennedy’s who is blackmailing the Senate....what has he to gain by pushing through his re-worked immigration bills from the 1980s? The MSM says anything; the polls (?) we're supposed to live by say another and our own Senators and congressmen are getting this wrong, not taking the time and NOT Enforcing the laws as they stand today.

Stay mad and stay focused - I fax, call and e-mail every day those who are playing this game only immigration bill...why is it Ted Kennedy is to be obeyed and not the citizens of America....get mad and get behind those few stalwart Senators who are trying to do the right the right thing. Cut and run????? I don't think so..............

You do not need to be a Republican to fight. And I feel like I am having a sissy fight with emails and phone calls.

>>Cut and run????? I don’t think so..............<<

Who said anything about cut-and-run? My divorce from the GOP merely means no more donations or voluteer efforts for any Republican organization. To paraphrase Limbaugh when he expressed a similar sentiment after last November’s election, I will no longer carry water for any RINOs.

Would you have given the same advice to Ronald Reagan when he left the Democratic Party?

I agree with you. Much as I would like to leave the Republican party, where would I go? Our greatest hope is to get rid of the RINO’s in the primaries, in my state (KY), I can’t vote in the primaries if I am registered as an Independent. I don’t think people realize that we hold much more power in the primaries than the general. Since only 15 - 25% of voters actually vote in a primary, it is much easier to organize against the RINO’s. I still contribute to the GOP, but I do it directly to the candidate of my choice. No more does my money go to support the likes of Specter or McCain.

Although I agree with what you are saying it is almost impossible to be assured they will do what they say. My head hurts from the banging I continue to do. I am just about ready to give up because it seems both parties are the same and no third party has a chance.
