The dropping of back to taxes was due to DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff. That was his idea. Even Kennedy's draft of the bill had a provision for the payment back taxes to the IRS. But weighed in during negotiations on Capitol Hill and insisted that it would be too much trouble and "time consuming".

The word coming out of Congress now is that even the touch back "Z" visa requirement will probably be dropped because too many illegals will not actually comply with that specific provision. Just wonderful.

I remember hearing about how George Jr. bankrupted Robusto Oil company and another oil company. He traded Sammy Sosa on the Texas Rangers just as Sammy was becoming a superstar. That was then, this is now. WOW! He really needs to go back to Crawford, TX. so that this long national nightmare can end.

George Sr. used Georgy Jr. to fire John Sununu and others. I remember watching Georgy Jr. on TV as he ripped the head off of an endangered bird after he shot it while hunting. Also, I remember when Pat Robertson, (who is one of George Jr’s main crack whores) begged him not to kill Carla Fay Tucker who was a “born again Christian” who had been convicted of murder. Bush Jr. killed her and laughed an evil laugh about how she begged him to spare her life. Even the warden of the prison said Carla was rehabilitated; there was no need to kill her.

It has been one long gut ache with him as president.

Bush wants to pardon 20 million illegal aliens which include gang members, felons, child molesters, fraud perpetrators, drug runners, smugglers etc.....but won’t pardon a handful of border patrol agents and law enforcement officials or Libby.

No need except that she had committed murder, for which she was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death in a court of law. She may have been "rehabilitated" during her time in prison, but that hardly changes her guilt.

The question is no longer "when" or "why" but, "how" do we impeach and convict this traitor?

"It’s fascinating to me that Bush has managed to infuriate the only people in this country who still supported him, conservatives. Talk about a tin ear"

Either that or he has retarded advisors telling him that he'll be "loved" by liberals for pushing democrat ideas. His approval numbers suck even worse because he keeps screwing his base. Despite Iraq, he would be 20 points up in the polls if he had always fought for conservative ideas. A lot of Freepers disapproved of him even before this because of things like the Medicare prescription bill, and the ridiculous spending.

This is not over yet. Bush refuses to give up this easily. It's his stubborn character. As I predicted he would try to resurrect it and call it something else. We have to keep our guard up. We need to keep the pressure up. We have no choice but to fight. The oligarchy wants cheap labor and a destruction of the middle class and the millionaire democrats want votes they can count on. A marriage made in HELL.

STAGE TWO is to go after the people who hire illegals. Start giving them fines and arresting them. Just catch ten or 100 of them on the nightly news. The magnet will dry up and most of the 12 million will go home by themselves.

As an addendum, we should anonymously call the IRS, people working "off the books" means taxes ain't being paid. Make anonymous fliers and hang them around the neighborhood, name names. It's time to embarrass these bustards, whether they give to the GOP or Rats, we don't need them.

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

The best way to stop Shamnesty

Bush has failed to uphold the laws of the land that he swore an oath to uphold. He is a criminal, IMHO. The crimes he is committing against Americans are worthy of being tried as a traitor, and sentenced accordingly.

I had a feeling she was probably a lib. Nevertheless, what she’s said in this piece is very true.

It’s not amnesty. It’s a massive Presidential Pardon.

Some of us wonder if he has a plan for that exactly. Ram through some kind of program and then pardon all illegals for all crimes committed up to January 1, 2009. But he needs to get some kind of pathway to citizenship or a legal status for them first.

BushCo cannot be trusted on this issue.

I don't know what kind of bird it was but the story was on the television news. It was around 1991 and the story showed how Bush Jr. shot a bird, then walked over found that it was still alive, and twisted it's head off. It came out later that day that the bird species was on an endangered species list. I think Bushy paid a fine for killing the bird.

It is exactly that. It is in the small print that it an “executive pardon”.
