The hawks in the room reported later that they were deeply unhappy - but not surprised - by Burns' assessment, which they interpreted as a tacit acknowledgment that the Bush administration had no "red line" beyond which Iran would not be permitted to step.

Ohhhh, yeah... I’m at a loss why W just doesn’t get it on the porous border and its inevitable consequences. And why he thinks (and insists that WE should think) that the “systems” the new bill will put into place will work. They (state, CIA, homeland security) are utterly incompetent and they don’t even suspect it.
