We all know how well Slick’s See-No-Evil, Hear-No-Evin, Speak-No-Evil worked out.

Normally I view “restraint” as weakness and a mistake. Not this time. Fuad Siniora knows that the responsible party is the same sort of force he is fighting near Tripoli. This is as much a threat to the Siniora government in Lebanon as it is to Israel. That is why the LAF has been sent in. If the Lebanese are willing to act with the support of the Gulf states we (Israel) should let them.

If the LAF fails to act then we should fail to show further restraint.

The official said the attack appeared to have been carried out by Palestinian radicals, and not Hezbollah,...

Just let it ride for it was the terrorist Crypts instead of the "sanctioned" terrorist Hezbollah attempting to kill innocent people.

There is a difference isn't there?

That ought to work. It probably will be as effective as our tactical, almost policeman-like, approach to the war on terror. While we behave tactically, Iran pursues a strategic goal through proxy. But Olmert might be on to an even better approach. Just pretend it’s no biggie since it wasn’t Hezbollah.

Unfortunately, although they look the same, the restraint of a strong man is not the same as the restraint of a weak one.

Probably this is the best policy, and certainly better than his major screwup earlier, when he rushed into war with Lebanon without being properly prepared, and then just as quickly rushed out again after failing to accomplish anything.

Not much good can be expected until this turkey is replaced by a leader who knows what he is doing.

I don’t like war. I don’t like to see our men and women loose their lives, BUT there comes a time in life when you have to put your foot down, or support an ally when they put their foot down, and I think the time has come for us to support Israel!!!
