Postulates, hypotheses and theories should not be taught as given fact. You are correct, they shouldn't. But only theories with testable scientific hypotheses should be taught.
"God did it" is not one of them.

Taught, mentioned, explored; don't drown yourself in semantics.
Evolution has a scientific basis in observed selection, speciation, drift, mutation, and adaptation. The book of Genesis does not.

Evolution has a scientific basis. EVOLUTION has less. Some truths may be observed but are not universal. We need an open mind. Many otherwise reasonable people become dogmatic when it comes to Darwin’s theories. Hell, Newton’s laws are not as universal as we once thought; Einstein’s may not be, either.
