Kyl calls talk radio liars
Hugh Hewitt show ^ | June 21, 2007 | Hugh Hewitt

Posted on 06/21/2007 6:31:37 PM PDT by fifedom

HH: Now Senator Kyl, why the attacks on talk radio from your colleagues, Senators Lott and Graham? It doesn’t, in any event, it cannot possibly help the party, and it can’t help the bill. What are they thinking?

JK: You know, I hate to speak for my colleagues, but I can suggest in the case of Senator Lott, because I’ve talked to him about it, is just said in frustration. If you look at it from his standpoint and mine, there is so much misinformation, and by the way, a plug for you, whatever your feelings on the legislation, you’ve tried very hard to get facts out. I mean, you just asked me a series of about eight questions that are designed to elicit information.

HH: Right.

JK: Well, not all talk radio is quite that constructive. And I’m afraid that there’s some of my friends who, for ratings or whatever purposes, have chosen to ignore some of the facts, and stress some things that were incorrect.

The guy is smooth but he's also a slimeball. Watch what he does not what says. He and the rest of the Arizona Republican Party opposed Proposition 200 that required proof of citizenship before people could vote or receive government benefits. They also refused to support Randy Graf and any other candidate who spoke the truth on illegal immigration.

Read my FR homepage. Time to clean out the freaking big tent. At this point, since we are going to lose in ‘08, I’d rather get it right for ‘10 and ‘12.

John Kyl changed BIGTIME on the immigration issue. I can remember a time when I saw him in the same light as Jeff Sessions.

No more.

The man has completely sold out.

I will agree with him there....but at least on talk radio the subject of the discussion generally gets the chance to go on air and defend himself. You can't do that on the nightly news.

Why would they all gang up on talk radio, just because so many people oppose their amnesty bill? And that W led the way with the criticism? I hate to see this expanding, but I think we have to stand up for truth even if it means thrashing some of our (ex?) friends.

Senators Kyl, Lott, etc, have forgotten that they represent us, they do not rule us.

It's time to refresh the Liberty Tree.

He is correct about the disinformation.

But what he does not say is that they are the ones putting out the disinformation.

Kyl calls talk radio liars

This lashing out by the traitors tells me they're in trouble and desperate, as they should be.

Those of us opposed to the immigration/amnesty bill have been accused of being venomous and hateful. Hell, we got nothing on John Kyl, Lindsay Graham, etc.

Does these guys have any frickin’ idea how madly this bill will tear the GOP apart? The rips and tears are starting to appear now.

They must harbor some illusion that (a) we (the rank and file) will forgive and forget and/or (b) that these immigrants will be so grateful that they’ll all start voting GOP.

If Kyl’s prediction is right about them getting enough votes to break cloture, we are in BIG TROUBLE!

Mohammad bleeping prophet (Jesus xxxxx Christ?), the GOP elected officials are tearing the party apart the past couple of months. Sad to witness this, but the anti-amnesty people can’t and shouldn’t back down, so we have a fight with those who’ve picked it. Stand up to oppose amnesty, and W should be ashamed to have caused this tussle.

Bush is a liberal, attempting to tear apart the GOP is what they’re supposed to do.

Same here. I was eager and proud to vote for him in the Primary when it didn't matter and even more eager and proud to vote for him in the General when it might have.

My first hint that he was dirty was in his victory speech where he was glued to McQueeg, both of them laughing and smirking like they were in a secret little club.

He lied through his sh*t stained teeth throughout his campaign and he lies almost continually now.

I especially liked the one where he told the press that protesting calls were "dropping off", but didn't mention that he had his staff stop answering the phones.

What a scumsucking pig of a treasonous traitor!
