You picked one out of four qualifiers to assume I was an anti of?

Did you consider that I may instead be
1. anti-nineteenth century
2. anti-TB
3. anti-bad tempers

or a combination of any of the four?

I would reply to that as I do the question if we wear seat belts - it has nothigng to do with the reason I am seeing a doctor today.

“What about the guy that went through a depression problem back in 1982 because of job loss, should he be banned from owning a gun?”

Most likely they will expand this to automatically include anyone who has been on an anti-depressant.

That would cut alot of the population out right there.

Where does the creeping destruction of rights end?

"- the historically and politically unique civilization that was born at Concord Bridge - and specifically constituted to prevent travesties like alcohol Prohibition, business Prohibition, drug Prohibition, or weapon Prohibition - is headed nowhere now but toward an increasingly oppressive police state that has already nullified everything the Founding Fathers, and the Bill of Rights they left us, once stood for.

The plan allows names to be entered into the NICS system based solely on a physician's diagnosis or prescription of a medication: adults who have taken Ritalin and soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder would be classified as mentally ill and given the same opportunity to own firearms as convicted felons: None.

Not only is this a violation of a persons Second Amendment rights, it is a violation of their Fifth Amendment right of due process.

So, where's the ACLU?

I’m a doctor and I have no idea what “government mandated survey” you are talking about. Could you kindly provide a link or please STFU?

It wasn't a good idea to miss.
Doc. used a short double barrel 12 Gauge.
(Or at least that's what's portrayed in the flicks.)

Doc, two different doctors had such a form which they tried to use on my family members in 1999. It existed then.

This is why when your doctor hands you that stupid government mandated survey that asks if you have guns in the house, you always answer, “NO!”

Then he'll refer your name to his "home invader" brother-in-law.

If they give me a form like that, they simply won't get it back. They can have a big happy "Kiss my ass" if they insist.

The form exists, but I don’t think any government mandated its use. It an AMA thing, I think.

Yeah thats what this bill is about. Anyone with any problem taking any drug to combat that problem will be denied their right to own a firearm. A child diagnosed with ADD... Guess what, denied the right to buy a firearm because he has a history of “mental problems”. This bill is BS and watch the president will sign it. Warning to all parents keep your kids off mind altering drugs. Kids are supposed to be rambunctious, thats not a mental problem.

If they say your child has ADD he probably watches too much television. Look at whats on it, a bunch of 15 to 30 second advertisements every 5 minutes. No wonder its hard to concentrate. The world is filling their mind with a different ad every 30 seconds.

It was something tried several years ago by some liberal physicians groups. Here is a news clip.

I’m a doc too and I am not aware of anything mandated by anyone at this time.

Well, the good side is not many of those who run the guvmint will qualify for firearm purchases. They are mostly insane.
