Also, watch out for the electrical cords on these products, reading the manual/literature, you could find that they contain lead.
It is getting increasingly difficult. For example, generic prescription drugs are beginning to use Chinese ingredients (basic chemicals). Soon the actual active drug component will be of Chinese origin (if this hasn't happened already), and then the final, completed product. My medical insurance pays only for generics and I am powerless to stipulate point of origin (if the pharmacy even knows).
You’re exactly right . Japanese and some European companies are building factories here and putting our people to work with good paying Union Free jobs - while our “Big Three” send the jobs and parts contracts to Mexican/Taiwan/Chinese based companies/factories . We can thank free trade for that.
My “Japanese” truck is old and it was assembled in Texas ,and was definately assembled here in the U.S.
The new Nissan trucks are made in Tennessee . Honda has a big plant in Ohio, Toyota in Alabama, BMW in South Carolina .
Surprisingly WalMart has terra cotta pots made in Italy. which considering the name and history is OK with me. As for Chinese terra cotta, they did find that terra cotta army in China so there is some history there I guess if I was buying an army.
Frozen food, too.

Thank the costs of 40 years of liberalism for outforcing our jobs offshore....
(i feel like an idiot)
