WASHINGTON, June 24 (UPI) -- Legislation perceived as amnesty for illegal immigrants has ignited grass-roots groups throughout the United States, it was reported Sunday.
The largest and loudest of the groups, NumbersUSA, reports soaring donations and an 81 percent membership increase since January, the Los Angeles Times said.
Groups like NumbersUSA are playing a larger role than ever in the immigration debate, which could come before the Senate again this week for a pass or fail vote on a bill, the Times said.
NumbersUSA President Roy Beck said he expects to rally the group's 419,000 activist members with dozens of e-mail alerts.
"We're in a war zone right now," said Beck, who touts his battle against pro-bill groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as "an amazing David-and-Goliath thing."
Most polls show U.S. residents are concerned about border security but favor allowing most illegal immigrants now in the country to gain legal status, the Times reported.

No doubt websites like NumbersUsa might be next on Lott’s “hit list” of things to get rid of, along with talk radio. Can’t have the peasants actually expressing themselves, after all.

The Media lies. We're just getting warmed up. I don't think the politicians have felt the heat yet.

The traitors in DC are so arrogant and clueless that they actually don’t realize their days as “Royalty” are over. The American people, God willing, will be voting them OUT and sending them back to the real world to live among the peasants.

GOSH-DARNIT!!! Now that the LATimes reports that "[m]ost polls show U.S. residents are concerned about border security but favor allowing most illegal immigrants now in the country to gain legal status," I guess it must be so.
After all, don't most American citizens want their entire culture and traditions changed, their environment and tax structure and social services and social security raped, their schools dumbed down, their hospitals closed, their freeways and towns congested a thousand-fold, their craven politicians habla espanol, their sovereignty disrespected, their patriotism mocked, their laws wantonly broken, their citizens murdered by gangsters and drunk drivers? Sure they do!

Excellent Article:
No Amnesty For This Bill
"What a crock. If this bill were popular, Washington politicians would have passed it in a heartbeat. If the bill were popular among Democrats, as bill supporters suggest, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., would be pushing for another vote, instead of daring President Bush to champion the measure."
"Here's something The New York Times story forgot to mention: Its poll also found that 69 percent of Americans think illegal immigrants should be prosecuted and deported."

"The American people, God willing, will be voting them OUT and sending them back to the real world to live among the peasants." Not with their retirement 'packages'. Those 'pacakges' are greater than the income of the average American working a lifetime.
