Sen. Corker will Vote Against Immigration Cloture (Hooray!!)
WDEF TV ^ | June 22, 2007

Posted on 06/25/2007 12:01:34 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Next week, the U.S. Senate will vote on closing off the debate and consider an immigration bill.

Senator Bob Corker says he will vote against bringing the bill up for a final vote.

Here is his statement on Friday:

“I plan to vote against cloture on the immigration bill, as I have already done twice during this debate. I believe a better approach would be a more modest bill that focuses on border security, employer identification, and putting systems in place that will put us in a position to actually enforce a new immigration policy. “We have lost credibility in Washington on this issue, and I think before the American people will really ever get behind an immigration policy, they're going to have to feel that Washington is truly going to follow through on what it says, especially in terms of securing our border.”

Reward the Good Guys. I’m envious of Tennessee. How is Lamar(!) still looking on this?

Great work. But this is just one battle of a larger war.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Bob you just dont get it or your stuck on stupid or your deaf to our pleas or you have an obsession with your illegal aliens..

...((( BOB WE DONT NEED AMNESTY 3 or AMNESTY LITE )))...

Enforce the laws we have now ..Everything you claim to want are in the 1996 Immigration Act and the 2006 Secure Fence Act..

Bob why are you such a ****head?

BTTT.

We can never “win” on this. It’s a damned shame when we have to storm the damned Bastille just to prevent more damage to the nation.

Lefties/Union Thugs/Public Employees, you have a stake in this, too. We can disagree and you can burn my rhetorical house down, but only if we still have a Nation to fight for.

Dont be envious of us they both have agendas...

Bob wants to introduce his AMNESTY 3...

Lamar has real competition from the Democrats for his senate seat in 2008..

‘’this is just one battle of a larger war.’’

That is SO true! When we win this one, we will win more - we must not, will not give up.

Mellifluous Ma’am,

I’m not familiar much with Corker. What’s his real MO?

Self made man....RINO type...

nice Christian middle class family background

put himself through college..strated with nothing ..now multi-millionaire businessman...

Hired subcontrators who hired illegal aliens...

Past Chattanooga Mayor....

Outshone moneywise, two conservative former US congressman who would have been great..Ed Bryant was a State AG who prosecuted Harold Fords Dad for mail fraud Voter fraud in 1990...the Clintons intervened in 1993 annd got him off...

Bob is determined to give the 25,000,000 illegal aliens AMNESTY...

He reminds people that he keeps voting NO but then he introduces an AMNESTY 3...

If his NO means NO forever..why is he saying MAYBE...

Find me a TN Conservative for a future primary fight.

I voted for Ed Bryant in the 2006 primary and wrote him in in Nov

If Van Hillery, another good conservative had not also been running I think Ed would have had the primary..

It was something like Corker 40, Bryant 35, Hillery 25

Only Corkers use of his personal wealth got him the seat...he spent as though it was a White House run..

When is Bob up next?

[say, I turn 40 on Thursday, and my best friend offered me a golf trip anywhere in the world. Using your recommendation, I declined NZ because of the North Island stuff. Looks like we’re going to the Dominican Republic, because South Island/Christchurch doesn’t really have a resort/golf area. It will also save my good friend a few bucks...]

Actions will always speak louder than words! I want to actually see it happen first! We still truly need to push a “No on Cloture!” vote from as many U.S. Senators as possible! I can’t believe that both Congress and the President are more than willing to sell out the entire U.S. as a country! It should of never of even gotten this far to begin with! Both “Shamnesty legislation” and “North American Union legislation” seriously and truly need to be killed for good and for always!

So you’ll be 40 soon...

Just a baby yet Enjoy your life...

If you have a chance to go to NZ, then go ...

Try Queenstown in the southern end of the South Island...

Lots of lakes and resorts...Golf for sure...

Its gorgeous there...but might be coolish

Lord of the Rings was filmed north of that area...

The primary vote was 48% Corker; 34% Bryant; 17% Hilleary.

Because there is no primary runoff, it allows RINOs to win. I’ll tell you right now I believe Hilleary was paid off to remain in the contest by Corker or his supporters, even though every Conservative in the state and many Republicans were screaming at him to get out, especially in the last week of the campaign when Corker was slipping in the polls. In a runoff, Bryant would’ve prevailed.

Right now, I wouldn’t vote for Hilleary for dog catcher for what he did in screwing Conservatives. It’s sickening we have to babysit Chattanooga Chafee Corker through EVERY SINGLE important vote, just to keep him from venturing off the plantation and voting his “RINO Conscience.” One Lamar! is one too many. Two Lamar!’s are worse than waking up buck nekkid next to Helen Thomas after a weekend bender. I will not for Lamar!’s reelection next year, period, I don’t care if he votes like Jesse Helms and Dr. Coburn from now on. I’ve had just about enough of those two bozos and the TN RINOstablishment.

Just a baby yet Enjoy your life...

Fat and graying already, by virtue of 2005-present.

It's time to take care of my sublime parents and fight for leaving something that can catch fire with the younger generation, such as the notion of the Constitution.

Being a single middle-aged Republican crank doesn't catch on easily, but, the more exposure gained among our disenfranchised, the better the Movement becomes. We just don't get Equal Time.

We need a “Blacklist”, so to speak. McCarthy was Right, you know.

That’s interesting ....and clears up the mystery...

I live near Chattanooga, right next to Hillery’s 4th District...

I knew Van Hillery slightly and thought he was a good man and when he didnt drop out...it was puzzling why Van Hillery hung on like that...
