On September 17, 2001, six days after the worst Islamic terror attacks ever on US soil, President Bush stood next to CAIR’s Nihad Awad at the Islamic Center of Washington DC, and pronounced ‘Islam is Peace’.
Nihad Awad is second from the right. Here’s an excerpt from the President’s speech:
The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don’t represent peace. They represent evil and war. ...
Women who cover their heads in this country must feel comfortable going outside their homes. Moms who wear cover must be not intimidated in America. That’s not the America I know. That’s not the America I value.
I’ve been told that some fear to leave; some don’t want to go shopping for their families; some don’t want to go about their ordinary daily routines because, by wearing cover, they’re afraid they’ll be intimidated. That should not and that will not stand in America.
Tomorrow President Bush is returning to the Saudi-funded Islamic Center, to address its rededication ceremony—and further legitimize radical Islamic groups masquerading as “moderates,” without once asking them to renounce their openly-expressed support for terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hizballah.

And at this event, Bush plans to announce that Tony Blair will be the new Mideast envoy for the Quartet: Blair to be named to join Mideast envoy.
The official said that after the quartet announcement, President Bush would likely address Blair’s appointment at a speech he is to give at a mosque and Islamic center in Washington.

The word means submission, not peace. And there is not much peace coming out of that world! A lot of murder, death, destruction, anger and hate, but not peace.

Heh the guy’s on a role. This week he sent his cabinet up to capital hill to buy amnesty votes for criminal aliens, now he’s going to a mosque and going to proclaim how peaceful and tolerant Islam is. What a disaster this president has become.
