Washington, D.C. By a vote of 65 to 34, the U.S. Senate voted today to proceed with debate on legislation granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants currently living in the United States. Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) responded to the Senate vote by declaring it a vote for amnesty.
The Senate today demonstrated that it is not interested in listening to the American people, said Congressman Hunter. Rather than rejecting this legislation, the Senate instead voted to bring it one step closer to passage. Border security and interior enforcement are what the American people are demanding; not citizenship benefits for those living in the United States illegally. This bill, regardless of what my colleagues in the Senate may say, is still amnesty.
The idea that amnesty will have to be accepted in order to achieve border security is unacceptable, concluded Hunter. The American people want secure borders and that is what they deserve.
slooooooooooooooooooooooooowly!
Ping!
Bump for that statement of Rep Hunter — he knows the pulse of the Country.
It has been estimated that the undocumented pharmaceuticals business supplied to America from across Mexico’s border amounts to $49-50 BILLION a YEAR. It’s this income for Mexican cartels which is seconded only by Mexico’s oil sales and then receipts of Mexican workers working outside the country sending cash home.
Pinging the rest of the Hunter list!
We need more men like Hunter in the Senate to join Inhofe and Sessions.
I really like this guy.

Americans appreciate you 35 Senators and will support you in every way possible. Our hats are off to you!!
There you go again, with the dig at Fred. You can't be content to celebrate your candidate's statement on this, you have to get in the obligatory cheap-shot at Fred.
Why isn’t this guy a front-runner? Seriously, I will vote for Hunter in the primaries and the general and so will a ton of moderates, all conservatives, and many anti-immigration democrats. We need to up Hunter’s name recognition.
Senator ‘Kit’ Bond (R)(from MO) was on Hannity today, explaining why he voted yes.
He said that the next cloture vote was scheduled for Thursday, and he would vote NO.
Don’t know if he can be trusted.
We also deserve to have good men like you leading us.
WTG Duncan Hunter.
NOT only a vote for amnesty, it is a vote saying "Good-By" to our great nation as WE know it!
Our chuldren and grandchuldren are being betrayed by a President, and Senators are playing "Russian Roulette" with OUR country!!
Everybody should see this video produced by Roy Beck. Click here... Link
Very SCARY when people "from" Washington, D.C. plays with dynamite!!!
bump
Fred:
On a path to citizenship: "[B]ecause we allowed ourselves to wait until we woke up one day and found 12 million illegals here, there's no easy solution. And I think that you have to realize that you're either going to drive 12 million people underground permanently, which is not a good solution. You're going to get them all together and get them out of the country, which is not going to happen. Or you're going to have to, in some way, work out a deal where they can have some aspirations of citizenship, but not make it so easy that it's unfair to the people waiting in line and abiding by the law." (Fox News' "Hannity & Colmes," 4/3/06)
Jorge Arbusto is a stooge of the New World Order. We are supposed to be "fighting a war against terror" while the southern border is wide open. Does that make sense? The war will eventually cost us a trillion dollars so that the Iraqis can have democracy and vote for a terrorist party. Jorge wants the troops over there so that one day the la Raza types allied with the Jihadists can start a revolt and take back Aztlan and there will be no one to oppose them. In summary, Jorge is a stooge of the New World Order. He already told us who he is right from the get-go, a "compassionate conservative", i.e., a socialist. For the record, I DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM BECAUSE I KNEW WHAT HE STANDS FOR. He did fool me.
Sad that he is one of few true American heroes!
