You’d think at least one of them would defend the efforts. Instead, they’re following the MSM and DNC.

I know. It is either they really get very little balanced views as we have been assembling here, and or they are worried for re-elections. Or perhaps they are simply getting to many negative inputs from their constituants, who for the most part are guided by the M/LSM and are caving in.
It is scary at this point. Of course any prolonged war tends to go this course.
One thing that does appear common on both sides of the political spectrum is the argument that in effect....the military of the US and Coalition forces have done their part, and that the Iraqi government has done little in effect. If some truely are pissed on this point, then I can't blame them for voicing concerns. Obviously many of us have similiar reservations as how effective this Maliki lead government is performing. A lot of graft, and one sidedness, as well the questionable strengths within the military ranks.
Prior to this surge we have been seen as playing policeman. Hopefully that will change as what we can see happening continues to show very positive results.
