Attack on Fred Thompson's abortion position sent anonymously.

Alot would depend if he tried to veer back towards the center for the general election. If he showed me some mettle, I’d vote for him. Rudy is just a disaster in too many areas to trust.
Well, not entirely. Hopefully, electing a pro-life President will assist us in winning the hearts and minds of other Americans in support of the pro-life cause. A president, like a governor, can promote a culture of life and family values. I expect Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson will do that while Rudy Giuliani may not:
HANNITY: Rudy Giuliani has said in answer to that, because he has a different position: He's pro-choice. And he has said he would appoint originalist justices like Scalia and Thomas and Alito. On that issue of judges, is that the type of justice you'd be looking for?
ROMNEY: Well, of course, we're all going to talk about appointing judges that will follow the law and not legislate from the bench. But being pro-life is, of course, broader than just the kind of judges you appoint. There's legislation, which month to month and year to year comes forward, that can either protect the sanctity of time of can take it away.
As governor, I had several measures that came to my desk, which affected life. And they were not court decisions; they were legislative decisions which I faced as governor. And if you're pro-life, then you're going to come down on the side of life. And if you're pro-choice, you'll take the other direction. And it's something where my record is clear.
When my legislature tried to redefine when life began, I said no. When they said they were going to clone human embryos for research purposes, I said no. When they said that they were going to block the education of our kids on abstinence in school, I said no. So we're going to be able to define ourselves based upon our positions on issues, and people can decide where they line up.
Romney has a solid pro life record. I wish there were a way to stop all the lies and distortions.
He must have taken a lot of heat in Massachusetts for his pro life positions.
Now? But wait, the evidence says otherwise. Thought you should see the chart below if you haven't already seen it. Romney ran on conservative principles way back in 1994 when he ran for the Senate and we know he governed conservatively as governor of Massachusetts.
Literature from the Romney campaign in 1994 reveals the truth about Romney's conservative positions on the issues in the Senate race.
A campaign flyer unearthed from the 1994 race lists a side-by-side comparison of positions between Romney and Kennedy for 24 election issues. Images of the front and back of the flyer are available on the web. A closeup of the flyer with the candidate comparison on the issues is shown below:
Romney held the solid conservative position for 23 of the 24 issues listed; the only exception being the pledge to maintain the status quo in Massachusetts regarding a woman's right to choose. A pro-choice position in Massachusetts in 1994 was a socially moderate stance accommodating the large majority opinion of voters in the state.

I think he did. He was continuously endorsed by pro-life groups and I found this from back in the 90's:
Abortion Rights Group Rips Romney
He is not pro-choice," said Joyce Cunha, executive director of Mass Choice.... He's anti-choice at heart. Massachusetts voters deserve to know the truth."
She charged that Romney was opposed to the Freedom of Choice Act earlier this summer before the state party's convention and that Romney also said he opposed federal funding for abortion. Cunha cited a recent mailing by Massachusetts Citizens for Life urging its members to vote for Romney, who accepted the group's informal endorsement.
"Mr. Romney cannot credibly call himself pro-choice while accepting the endorsement of the state's largest anti-choice lobby," Cunha said.

Being ripped by a pro-abortion group has to be a good thing.
If those quotes are correct then I am very disappointed.
Mitt’s got his good points, not the least of which he has become more consevative, apparently, with age.
But his liberal baggage is too much for me.
I happen to be an audio editor. This is a hack job, at something very easy. I had video, and audio, of Pat Robertson and Falwaell discussing how the gays, lesbians, and abortionists should join their church. Easy cuts, no seams, no need to ‘lead’ the viewer with clips of text-only. Just good ole fashion editing from 1 7 minute video. Ended up with a 45 second spot proclaiming the Evangelical Church to promote the Gay Agenda.
Its easy and fun. This guy is an amateur.
There’s more. But I won’t belabor the point. He’s a strong candidate.
Well, that’s fine, but the evidence shows from the chart above (even though many choose to conveniently ignore it), that Miitt has no liberal baggage. A few previous moderate positions, but no liberal baggage. Some of us worry more about some people’s McCain baggage.
His 100% pro-life voting record in the Senate speaks for itself.
The list of his past liberalism is extensive. I won’t bore you with it for the 3rd time.
Please do "bore" her with the list. Apparently, she has not figured it out by now.
Sadly, some have fallen for the MSM talking points. There is no extensive list of any actions taken that advanced liberalism. There is, however, an extensive list of actions taken while governor to advance the culture of life and family values.
People who can view that chart above and still say things like that could easily be labeled --- ostriches.
I don’t rely on the msm for my research. I rely on Mitt’s words and deeds.
I could post his debate performance from 1990s and give you all the proof you need that he was a lib.
Oh well, we'll have to agree to disagree on this. I did notice you were on the Tahoe thread and at least we agree on one thing. ;-)
Do you REALLY want me to rehash Mitt’s flaws?

He flip flopped, and he is trying to cover his tracks.
