Which bums to throw out: Craig, Graham, Hagel, Martinez
None ^ | June 27th | Vanity

Four Republican Senators who have betrayed America are up for re-election. It is imperative that all Americans do everything we possibly can to ensure that they are not re-nominated. Three of these Senators come from preposterously red states, so we do not need fear that any controversy within the Republican party will cause their seats to go Democratic.

The traitors are:

Robert Bennett (UT) Not up for election

LARRY CRAIG. Idaho's Senate is comprised of 28 Republicans and only 7 Democrats; the House has 51 Republicans and 19 Democrats. Bush won by 40 points, twice. Clinton got only 34%.

LINDSAY GRAHAM. South Carolina is the most Republican of the deep South. Democrats seem lately incapable of breaking 41% of the vote, which is quite something, given the state is 30% black. (Immigration is one of several issues in which a majority of blacks are very hostile to the Democrat's position.) Both Houses are solidly Republican

Judd Gregg (NH) Not up for election

CHUCK HAGEL (NE) Recent polls show Chuck Hagel already trailing Nebraska Attorney General Bruning. There is a Democratic Senator, Ben Nelson, but he is actually the last, remaining conservative Democrat, which is probably why he survives as the last influential Democrat in Nebraska.

John Kyl (AZ) Not up for election

Trent Lott (MS) Not up for election

Dick Lugar (IN) Not up for election

MEL MARTINEZ (FL) Mel may be Cuban-American, but he's voting like a Mexican, and even occasionally against Cuban interests. He is a certainly far better than any Democrat who might replace him, and on issues when he's not asked to be the White House's stand-in for a Mexican, he's at least moderately conservative. A bad dust-up might wound but not kill his re-nomination, leaving him very vulnerable in a state that isn't so Republican Red, but has many Marxist Reds passing themselves off as Rednecks. It's worth it to replace him in a primary, but some care should be taken not to had the seat to a Democrat.

John McCain (AZ) Not up for election

Olympia Snowe (ME) Not up for election

Arlen Specter (PA) Not up for election

One last bum to throw out: TED STEVENS (AK) is bad on conservativism in general, and, specifically on immigration. I think he simply found the wind blowing too strong against him this issue, this time, but it appears his "No" vote was just him acting as a rat fleeing a sinking ship. Stevens is very liberal on many social issues, including being for murdering unborn babies, and is probably the 2nd most corrupt Republican, after McCain. Alaska is a very safely Republican state; voters even re-elected Lisa Murkowski (another RINO), despite outrage over the nepotism through which she took office. If Democrats couldn't beat her, they can beat no-one.

Hagel has always been POS McCain’s POS understudy. A few years ago he stated in a press interview that he was sent to D.C. to vote his conscience and not the whims of Nebraska voters. I have been waiting since then to vote against him on his next try at the senate. Someone told me at the time that Hagel deserved respect as a senator and as a combat veteran. My reply was “Timothy McVeigh was a decorated combat veteran too, does he deserve the same respect?”. That killed any further questions about Hagel’s right to respect.

Gregg is particularly repugnant to me as a constituent.

Not only did he turn his back on America, he didn;t even have the stones to stand up and tell us how he was going to vote.

up until the last hour all calls to his office were answered with “The Senator hasn’t made up his mind yet.”

Bull. He’s a coward and a turncoat.

I know he’s not up for re-election this time, but I will not forget the next time.

Every one of these traitors who isn’t up for re-election in 2008 will, very soon, have some well-financed competition.

Purge the Senate - Pick your choice per the dictionary:

1. To get rid of opponents: to remove opponents or people considered undesirable from a state or organization;

2. Remove something undesirable: to get rid of something undesirable, impure, or imperfect;

3. Religiion - free somebody from guilt or sin: to make somebody or something pure and free from guilt, sin, or defilement (formal)purge a soul of its sins;

4. Medical - vomit or use laxatives: to rid the body of food by using laxatives or inducing vomiting;

5. Computing - delete data: to delete unwanted or unneeded data from disk storage in a systematic fashion so as to remove all references to the data;

6. Medicine - empty the bowels: to empty the bowels or cause somebody to empty the bowels (archaic).

>> Well, I’m told I was wrong about Martinez being up for election, but replacing Craig, Graham or Hagel with a primary opponent would HELP keep the seat. They are in three of the five most Republican states in the nation. <<

In most cases, yes, although after the cokehead Rudybot (Ravenel) was exposed, the newest "top tier" potential Graham challenger is Karen Floyd. Floyd is the ONLY Republican who managed to LOSE statewide in South Carolina while the rest of the GOP ticket won handily. There is no excuse for her losing in South Carolina in a big Republican year. She is a poor candidate and unpopular with the SC electorate, and nominating her would put the seat in play for the RATs, just as a normally "safe" RAT state would be in play for us if they nominated a big time loser nobody likes (i.e. Gray Davis wins Senate nomination in CA).

Also, it's rather ironic that John Sununu won his Senate seat by proclaiming to be the more "electable" candidate, because that seat is in danger of being taken by a Dem now, and the only chance of improving the prospects would be to kick Sununu upstairs to an appointed office and get a new Republican in the seat. NH voters have been throwing out the blue-blooded old guard in NH left and right.

The “Conservative Republican Senate Election Group” needs to put up and support primary challengers for these incumbents.

You know not of what you speak of.

Republican Senator Vitter did fight against this Amnesty bill. Landrieu didn’t fight against it like Vitter and Republican senators Sessions, Demint etc.

I’m in Louisiana. Landrieu is a corrupt,Stalinist, ultra liberal . Her and her family are one of the main reasons that new Orleans and Louisiana are almost like socialist countries and last in every good category and tops in things like HIV, crime, welfare etc.

The only reason Landrieu voted yes is because she lost a lot of her base in Hurricane Katrina.

Many of those districts in the 9th ward in New Orleans were voting 97% -100% for Landrieu and Blanco. That is pure election fraud that no one is doing anything about. no way can those kind of numbers happen without vote fraud.

Plus many of these liberal villains knew it wasn't going to pass so they voted no to cover themselves. Voinovich comes to mind. He sounded like he was so for this Amnesty fighthing Hannity yesterday and he votes no today. Like I believe he is against Amnesty. Voinovich and the rest of these RINOS like Lott and Graham call themselves Repbublicans but they are just liberal Democrat trojan horses out to destroy the GOP and America just like Democrats are.

ME: Landreiu(D) from Louisiana had no problem voting against this bill.

You: You know not of what you speak of.

What? She voted against the bill, that’s all I said.

For the record, I was born and raised in Louisiana and an LSU cap sits on my head right now. Even though I currently live in MS, I can see Louisiana from my house. I know EXACTLY what I speak of.

Yeah why do you mention Landrieu instead of Louisiana Republican Senator Vitter who has actually been one of the main ones fighting to stop this Amnesty bill and voted against it. Most Democrats still voted for cloture. look at the votes.

The only reason she voted for this bill is because most of her base in New Orleans is still in other states. They moved out because of Hurricane Katrina.She is running scared.

New Orleans is still a mess and it's partly Landrieu 's fault. She will get voted out and she is trying to pander to the more conservative state LA is now.

Landrieu is extremely corrupt and liberal.

I praise the true fighters who fought against this bill from the start like Republicans Vitter, Sessions, Demint

I don’t care if her and Voinovich (R) voted against it . I know they are for Amnesty. and when given another chance they will fight for Amnesty. They only voted against it cause they knew it was going to fail anyway.

Don't paint Lindsey's seat as invulnerably Republican. You might notice that not all of SC's governors in the past few decades have been GOP. Enrage the base, and get a moderate Dem in place. Rahm Emmanuel knows this--he's painfully smart and probably already has an anti-amnesty Dim all lined up for outraged SC Repubs to vote for.

If SC GOP gets timid in providing a choice on the primary ballot, I predict the seat will go Dem.

The expectation among rank and file Idaho Republicans is that Larry Craig is not going to be running for reelection, and that Lt. Governor Jim Risch, a solid conservative, is going to step up to the plate to replace him.

The answer to the arrogant non-representative Senate is to REPEAL THE 17th AMENDMENT to the U.S. Constitution.

Here is an excellent article from National Review on the subject:
