An explosive device found in a car in central London has been defused. Police were called to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked in The Haymarket area shortly before 02:00 this morning.
The area was cordoned off by police who examined the car.
They discovered what appeared to be a potentially explosive device, which was then made safe.
An investigation has been launched by the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command.

And can you believe they dealt with this very concern on
The Bill last week. Course it turned out it was arson for gain and not terrorism. Didn't stop the police from ransacking a house, arresting the wrong man, ripping a part a family (course the father did that bit really though didn't he?), and putting a general scare on.
Maybe if they could just find an innocent Brazilian to shoot in the next few days everything will calm down....

CNN won't even mention that it could be Islamic terrorists! Pahtetic!
"London has a long history of bomb attacks and alerts during decades of violence mounted by Northern Irish guerrilla groups. Lone attackers have also previously targeted the city's gay and immigrant communities."

I am relieved that this was defused.
I am concerned with the use of the word ‘massive’ for a car bomb. You can only fit so much explosives into a car (especially a European car).
I hope this is not media hype.

Ferdinand and Isabella are condemned by historians for deporting the Moors from Granada. Sounds like an idea whose idea has come again! Yup.

CNN won't even mention that it could be Islamic terrorists! Pathetic! "London has a long history of bomb attacks and alerts during decades of violence mounted by Northern Irish guerrilla groups. Lone attackers have also previously targeted the city's gay and immigrant communities."

Why is this not in Breaking News? Seems like an urgent matter if heretofore unknown terrorists are on the loose in London. The car bomb angle is most troubling in that it demonstrates that these clowns are not bothering with meticulous planning at this point.
At any rate, they dodged a bullet and I’m glad no one was hurt.

Why is everybody pussyfooting around with accusing the A**holes who tried this.
Why is everyone afraid to say the word “ Muslim Terrorist”
Why is Geraldo Riveria considered a reporter on Fox when he nothing more than a overinflated gasbag?

Any one want to take bets on who would load up a perfectly good Mercedes with a bomb.
Personally I could never afford to be a terrorists, unless George Sorass was funding me.

A lone Bomber!
I bet he parked the silver Mercedes containing gas cylinders on a GRASSY GASSY KNOLL.
Look for Arlen Specter (former of counsel attorney with Flaming and Gaping, PA)to insuniate that there is a pristine and magic canister.
