Very true. Conservatism wins every time it's tried.

Mind you, there are some Senators who truly believe in American sovereignty, Jeff Sessions is a prime example, but I think most of what happened yesterday in the Senate was more akin to "we'd better appease the folks who are going to vote in the next election and not worry about the potential voters we want to woo 10 years from now right now...."

Correct. I am more hopeful for the future of conservatism in America than I have been for a long long time. We CAN win, not by pandering but by standing firm on the basic common-sense principles that liberals run away from. What we stood on in opposing amensty was basic 'law-and-order' and concepts of fairness and common sense. If and when we unite on these core principles, we WILL win.
