SEATTLE – A King County Medical Examiner has identified the badly decomposed body found in a Queen Anne home as Mike Webb, a former radio show host who has been missing for months.

The body has multiple sharp force injuries and the death has been ruled a homicide.

As Seattle police detectives continued to investigate the human remains Friday morning, the man who made the gruesome discovery shared details with KING 5.

The property manager of the Queen Anne home found the body Thursday afternoon. The home had been rented for years by Webb, a former KIRO 710 talk show host who has been missing since April.

Liberal. Fired a couple years back for insurance fraud (buying insurance the day after someone hit his Lexus.)

I guess they didn't check it all that well anyway... It seems he was found in the crawl-space under the house wrapped in a tarp and covered in boxes.

Don’t blame the police. Who would have thought to look in the crawl space? People NEVER put bodies there.

Not the first time ...

Henniker Heaton

Sir Peregrine Henniker-Heaton was a former RAF security officer who became Deputy Provost Marshal in the Levant in 1945, and was in charge of RAF Police in Palestine during the mandate. He remained in Palestine until 1948 and, during that time, his car was blown up several times. He retired in 1958 as a Wing Commander, but continued his involvement with the Middle East, serving as a member of the Anglo-Arab Association.

He vanished on 5 October 1971, after setting out from his home in Ealing, west London. Subsequent police searches throughout the country proved fruitless and reports were received that the baronet had been seen in various places, including New York and Paris. There was also speculation that he had been murdered because of his connection with security work and the Middle East.

On Sunday 23 June 1974, his body was found by his son Yvo in a locked lumber room in the family home in Ealing. Yvo opened the room with a key he found in a desk in the hall and entered the room to fetch a cabinet for some gramophone records. "When I opened the door, it [the room] seemed the same as when I had last seen it. A suit of clothes was on the bed. It was only when I went into the room and turned around to face the bed that I realized it was my father."

At the subsequent inquest, an open verdict was recorded, since the cause of death was not ascertainable, although there was no evidence of violence.

Neth added there were two other "unusual items" next to the body.

A candle stick and a wrench with Col. Mustards fingerprints on them?

According to the Seattle Times:
Seattle police searched Webb's home about 10 days ago with a cadaver-sniffing dog but didn't find the body, which was in a crawl space.

"It's hard to understand how when the police were in the house with a canine unit 10 days ago they didn't find that body," said McMullen.
There's a lot more details in that article than the P-I one that I posted earlier, including a rather detailed report of how the body was discovered.

I’ve never heard of it. You’d have to be a clown to think that’s a good place to hide a body.
