Is Mark on live today?

I never get to hear him live. I’m always listening to his podcasts a few days (or a week) later. As I am at this moment.

I don’t get to listen to ML all the time but I heard him the other day, while driving. Whew. He’s better than ever. He was reaming Trent Not-so-Lott on amnesty. What a good job he did, too.

Put Britain firmly in the appeasement category. Brown is a disaster in waiting. The world seeks appeasement! How many more deaths at the hand of these Islamo-Nazis before the world decides to take them on? Probably a whole lot more, unfortunately...

1) Gordon Brown, July 3, 2007: LONDON (AP) - Gordon Brown doesn't do charisma. In contrast to Tony Blair, the new British leader has offered no emotive sound bites, no promises of tough new laws and no talk of a "war on terror" since the failed attacks in London and Glasgow. Instead of announcing new anti-terror legislation—as Blair and Reid did after the July 7 bombings—Brown has said he wants to work with opposition politicians to build a consensus on what steps to take. "This is not the time for rushing into new legislation," said Brown's official spokesman, Michael Ellam.

2) Flashback to one year ago from Gordon Brown,12/02/2006: "People have got to wake up to the complexity, the scale, the global nature of this." He said he believed people would be persuaded "in time" that suspects should be held for longer without charge if the necessary judicial safeguards were in place. Among measures to be unveiled tomorrow by Mr Brown is a move to centralised funding for anti-terror work - believed to presage the creation of a homeland security department.

House Republicans Vow to take the Offensive on Immigration

The Hill ^ | July 3, 2007 | Jackie Kucinich
House Republicans are planning to use the ashes of the Senate immigration bill to resurrect the debate on border security. The GOP leadership move to go on offense on immigration is politically tricky. While polls show that most Americans back stronger border-security measures, some House Republicans — such as then-Rep. J.D. Hayworth (Ariz.) — faced strong criticism last year for their so-called “hard-line” approach. Hayworth subsequently lost to Rep. Harry Mitchell (D) in last year’s midterm elections. Immigration reform was not high on the Democratic agenda last election cycle, and some political observers questioned the motivation of Democratic leaders to...
