TERROR AT TIMES
July 3, 2007 -- THE New York Times needs glue traps - fast! Editorial staffers on the third and fourth floors of the paper's new Eighth Avenue building are gagging on the smell of dead mice trapped in the vents, an insider tells us. Now, the ad sales department is desperately trying to avoid a similarly stinky situation as vermin run through their offices.

Rats are the indiginous species to the island of Manhattan, and the NYTer's are the invaders. In the name of bio-diversity, the NYTer's must be hunted down, darted and relocated to Wyoming where the won't pose a threat to the environment.
Hope it's some kind of rat on the endangered species list and they all have to work out of the Pinch kid's basement.
