“Furthermore, many allergic reactions get more severe with each subsequent occurrence”

This is true. I began getting headaches from (most) perfumes two years ago and it has gotten progressively worse.

It’s very unfortunate that there are so many uncaring people out there that put the blame on the sufferers.

Do you not know that perfumes are made with toxic chemicals? The ones who wear excessive perfume to work are controlling the lives if the sufferers.

“The problem starts when things like the ADA abomination becomes law, and it’s no longer a matter of choice”

Making the choice to inhale toxic materials is definately up to each individual; forcing others to is not.

basically yes, they both have toxic chemicals that others should not be forced to breath.

“Why should however many people or the company change in order to accommodate her???”

For the same reason smoking was finally banned in workplaces. Why should it be ok to force co-workers to inhale your toxic perfume?

“That dozens or hundreds or thousands should warp their lives around one person is nonsensical”

Warp their lives? Will not wearing perfume or cologne to work really “warp” someones life?

>>perfumes are made with toxic chemicals?

I see a new medicolegal syndromecondition...

SecondHandPerfume - SHP.

A grave threat to society.

Actually I’m all for it, no tabak, no perfume, just plain ole natural - Inshallah....another Sharia diktat in place.

Allahu Akbar! Plus perfumes have alcohol in them...so the risk of getting intoxicated by SHP fumes is also reduced.

More rules, more rules, more rules, LandoftheFrWHAAAT!

Well, that certainly side-stepped the issue.

Why exactly should hundreds of people change their ways to accomodate one person?

You haven't answered that and I doubt that you will.

Yes, but eating aromatic foods, is not. As I said, the hot pastrami may offend a vegan, kimchee may just offend everyone, and the aroma of pulled pork may insult some Jews and Muslims.......

How far will you social totalitarians take society.

Don’t answer, I already know, as far as you can until all semblance of human joy and enjoyment are banished.

Tightarsed Talibs everywhere.

The cologne and perfume sensitive will not get any help. No money involved in attacking Big Cologne.

I have lived in a condo for many, many years and recently made a decision to move due to new neighbors downstairs who cook with curry. The curry smells which comes up into my unit makes my face swell and makes my breathing passages close causing me to seek fresh air. I found myself “running away from my home to escape the smells. Unfortunately they cook at all hours and the reaction affects my night breathing too. How do you tell someone that they can not cook, you can’t, so I had to make the sacrafice and move.
