Elmira is so close to Ithaca geographically, that this isn’t a big surprise.

“If they had been dressed in white pajamas and were carrying Korans, everything would have been peachy.”

And throw in a female genital mutilation — even peachier. When will this country wake up and realize what’s going on?

Freedom of Speech applies ONLY when the following perverse groups are on the march:

1.) Homosexuals
2.) Illegal Aliens
3.) Black Panthers
4.) CAIR and other Criminal Muslim Organizations
5.) Pro-Abortion people
6.) Code Pink
7.) NAMBLA and other Pedophiles
8.) Communists

Now, IIRC the New Testament warns Christians that the world will always hate us. Jesus said that the world rejects Him, and it shall also reject the Christians. Christians must be brave and steadfast in the belief that they are doing the right thing by praying for others.

The aforementioned perversions will always despise they who promote the love of God. It is their egocentrism and anger that prevents them from acknowledging God’s intention for mankind. As a result, these evil ones will always hate Christians and they will use their lawyers to attempt to destroy us. The best advice I have to offer is to follow the Apostle Paul’s example:

“I have fought the Good Fight, I have finished my journey, I have kept the Faith.”

There is an old saying that goes; “If you were arrested tomorrow for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?”. I would wear that arrest like a badge of honor.

The celebration of sin continues unabated in our towns and cities and we as a nation are found wanting, why is there only 7 and not 7000 out there protesting this ‘festival of perversion’ is a testament to the failing of our church leaders and of we as a people who no longer have the moral convictions to stand up to these disgusting public homosexual displays.

This is the kind of thing you’d expect to happen in China or Europe, not America. But the mighty, I suppose, truly have fallen far.

I have the highest respect for the police officers

I don't. Not these kind. Not the ones who flagrantly violate the people's constitutional rights. There is a word for people like these:

Traitors.

I think the saddest things are yet to come.

I've talked with too many folks in my church to not know this. Many Christians, IMO, take the part in the Bible about respecting the laws of the civil authorities (render to Caesar what is Caesar's and all that) too far. The truth is that when it becomes illegal to speak our minds, no one will lift a finger to oppose those unjust laws. There will be a great many who will disobey them and be punished, but no one will forcefully rise against such laws. When the government comes around and confiscates all firearms to solidify their control, the Church will do or say nothing. We will simply permit it to happen without a shot fired, or even so much as a whimper. They will shred our Constitution and use it for toilet paper, and nothing will be done. Most Christians will abrogate their responsibilities to freedom and justify it as being obedient.

Christians will allow themselves to be imprisoned or killed for His sake. I don't downplay that or disagree with it; what I disagree with is not even so much as lifting a finger to prevent that from being necessary.

We are seeing the beginning of what will ultimately be armed conflict over First Amendment rights of Bible teaching churches.

Doubtful. The Modern Christian church is mostly emasculated. Many people aren't just accepting that they may be oppressed for His sake, but some are actively seeking it out. I think most modern Christians would rather be thrown in jail and persecuted, rather than fight for their freedom.

Frankly, if it does come to armed conflict to retain our rights, I would not expect to get a great deal of support from the Church. Not in its present state.

It looks like we need a permit to pray.

Denied. Next!

Nobody knows and it doesn't matter.

The second part of that statement is the important part.

I’m sure the Christians were outnumbered and they very well could have been attacked

That is a risk we are willing to take. Or should be, at any rate.

If you are not expecting to be crucified upside down in Rome, I'm not sure you are really tuned in to the message.

Well said. Although, I guess there's a fundamental difference between me and most Christians.

Most Christians are saying, "I will gladly be crucified upside down for Him."

I'm saying something else: "If the penalty for following Him is upside down crucifixion, so be it. But you will know that you have been in a fight before we get to that part. And that's assuming you win, which is not assured."
