The Jerusalem Post ^ | July 7, 2007

Posted on 07/07/2007 9:42:10 AM PDT by Fennie

The London based Al-Hayat reported Saturday that Israel was "concerned" that Syria's decision to remove military checkpoints on the road to Kuneitra on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights could be a preparation for war. According to the report, the checkpoints in question had been in place for 40 year, ever since the Six Day War. Al-Hayat also claimed that foreign journalists were barred from covering IDF maneuvers concucted on the Golan Heights. The newspaper also reported that Israel had blocked access to areas on the Golan Heights from which villages and towns were visible. The report also listed the equipment the IDF had left in place, which included bulldozers and 70 tank outposts...

Disquieting. We could well be on the cusp of a regional war.

I thought the Israeli’s had offered to give the Golan Heights back to Syria. What happened with that move?

Chemical weapons will rain down upon Israel if Israel gives up the Golan Heights.

And then an atomic bomb or two or three will rain down on Damascus..., as the language of the Bible indicates...

Syrian intentions are to allow Hezbollah to open up another front against Israel.

I thought the Israeli’s had offered to give the Golan Heights back to Syria.

I didn't know that Jiminny Carter spoke for the Israelis. Giving back the Golan Heights would be tactical and strategic suicide; no Israeli politician would ever suggest it.

Chemical/nuclear exchanges is not something the Israelis would welcome.

Israel Offers Golan Heights To Syria

"The Israeli prime minister has offered to return the Golan Heights to Syria in exchange for peace, the nation's press reported yesterday."

Anyone who goes to war against Isreal, declares war on God Almighty Himself, period. The Muslims are on very thin ice.

In a secret communique, Ehud Olmert demanded that in exchange for the return of the strategic highlands, Syria...

Can we verify a "secret communique"? If Olmert made that offer, he's a horse's ass. The Syrians can agree to everything, reoccupy the heights and then welcome Hamas and Hezbullah in. Maybe in return for the Syrians disarming and letting Israel set up air bases in Syria.
