Strictly voluntary, of course.
Just like a breathalyzer or field sobriety test - you have the right to refuse.
There are consequences, though... Different situation. Driving involves implied consent. IANAL.

That’s one of the reasons the elites are for the criminal invasion. The newcomers who break laws every day they’re in the USA could not care less about the Bill of Rights.

Why if somebody has an illegal gun, would they let police search their home? I suspect the notion is that the Mother's and Grandmothers who the gang bangers sponge off of would allow the search, and thus the police would be able to confiscate the guns... of course they wouldn't tell Granny that she or the little darlins,, or both, would be going to jail if they found illegal weapons.
