Flynt is one of the strangest, most pitiful creatures to slither under a rock.
To: Baladas
blah blah blah. Larry Flynt, his speech is protected by the U.S. Supreme Court. But political speech before an election isn't.
Damn right we need another Republican President and Congress.

Vitter outed himself. This is “me too ism” and gotcha politics. A day late and a dollar short, Larry.

This is the same Larry Flynt who hired a hitman to whack Bob Guccione, publisher of Penthouse, a competing porn mag.

"Eisenhower did it. Somehow, F.D.R did it."
Ike's biographer said the allegation was hogwash. It was a bitter and elderly Harry Truman who put it out there. As for FDR, after he contracted polio, it's quite possible he may not have been able to consummate any illicit affair. Besides, one could hardly blame FDR for wanting to be with the woman he loved and who loved him in return (and was with her when he died in Warm Springs). After learning more about that power-hungry ice-cold lesbian bitch Eleanor, and the "deal" she made with her husband for not sandbagging his political career, it increased my sympathy for FDR enormously.

Scott Ritter got busted at least twice trying to meet underage girls that he “met” online.
There are rumors that he may have been blackmailed over some personal activity to “switch sides” in support/opposition to the war in Iraq.
He certainly faded from the limelight once these arrests came to light.

Why is it a big deal if he consorts prostitutes? Exactly how does that affect his ability to do his job? Any other laws you would so conveniently allow a lawmaker to violate then in the course of *doing his job*??
To: weegee
Ahhh, i didn’t know about the underage girls. I just thought he had gotten threatened with his life. He made a pretty abrubt about face didn’t he?

Sure.
After Eleanor found out about her husband’s affair with Lucy Mercer, she issued him an ultimatum. He would have to either stop seeing her entirely, allow her to “do her own thing” (meaning cavort with her own lesbian friends/pursue her radical political agenda and other pet causes WITHOUT interference), and never have intimate relations again with her... OR... she would divorce him and publicly ruin him with details about the affair and destroy his political aspirations for the future. He chose the former (but later on, secretly saw Lucy).
Worse, yet, FDR’s mother was on Eleanor’s side and was happy to see her son ruined if he didn’t stay in that sham marriage. Nice, huh ?

In the House, Vitter succeeded GOP Rep. Robert LivingstonWow. AP waited untill the second to last sentence to reveal his political affiliation. Usually they put it in the first sentence of the article. I'm impressed.

I call B.S. on you, You said: “Why is it a big deal if he consorts prostitutes? Exactly how does that affect his ability to do his job?”
It is called judgement, putting ones self in risky stupid situations. I do not want our leaders handling the nation’s future with that type of thinking.
I think you might be on the wrong site.
