I don’t blame you...Italy has the best food (and wine).
They need to put on their labels...
“MADE IN CHINA..” EXPECT TO BE POISIONED OR DIE..
Noooooooooooooo Chinezz FUD !!!...;0)
Sure. It’s called carmine or cochineal and it’s made from little red bugs from South America. They use it to color your strawberry yogurt pink, for instance. You think the pink comes from strawberries, but real strawberry yogurt isn’t that pink, because the strawberries’ color isn’t concentrated enough. But since we’re so used to unnaturally bright food, they mix South American bug juice into it to make it pink.
Also pink sodas, grapefruit juice and so forth.
I would never buy anything “edible” that was made in China.
I know the United States is on a downward spiral when we are importing food from China. Bottled Chinese water will be next.
I cooked Chinese food tonight. As far as I know, it was pure. Glad I ate before reading THAT :(
I have never heard of that one.
Then the meats come next. Prime Rib and Ribeyes—all on special sale. Yeah, dog meat and then the chickens—all cat meat.
Look it up on Wikipedia. Look up “carmine” or “cochineal beetle.”
Oh I’ll remember that!
Whats that? Kanji for house of pain?
Cheers!
I think I had better start reading the labels a lot more than I have.
“Well, here in America food producers make red food coloring out of little bugs.”
It’s called carmine and is listed on many foods as such. It’s often found in yogurt, for example, but can be found in other products as well. Food colorings are usually listed at the end of the ingredients list.
Sometimes it’s just listed as a *natural* coloring because it has a *natural* source.
It can be highly allergenic, as in my daughter, who has a severe hives reaction to it.
Others would want to avoid it if they eat kosher or for other religious reasons.
Personally, I don’t want to eat bug extract, thank you.
If you really want your hair to curl, go to the FDA website and search for *food dyes*.
Here’s a link:http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~lrd/colorfac.html
See post 38.
That’s WAAAAAAY better that what the Codex Alimentarius, the WTO, China and all the other internationalist’s and internationalist corporations want for you. In fact, they’ll tell you they are so overwhelming our food system the FDA can’t do their job and we should let semi-private corporations tell us what is good for us or not.
