The way the Spanish mistreat their bulls, I think this running of the bulls is only fair. Too bad stupid Americans got hurt it should have been Spanish bullfighters.
I also cheer for the Bulls. I see nothing wrong with this. It is part of the Spaniards culture.
Sort of like clubbing baby seals except no one is swimming with the seals before the slaughter. I would love to see that above the fold:
“Walrus gores three in Newfie seal clubfest”
I prefer that other Spanish village spectacle envolving hundreds of people and thousands of tomatoes.
“””Two American brothers seriously gored during a bull run””
The Brothers Grim?
You have to imagine there’s some serious sibling rivalry going on in that family.
Romantic testosterone - now that’s rare!
God love ‘em;)
Reminds me of the bullfight/restaurant joke.....
A tourist is in Spain, and goes to a fancy restaurant for dinner. As he looks around, he notices a diner being served a beautifully garnished dish with two gigantic meatballs in the middle. When the waiter asks him for his order, the man asks him about the meatball dish. The waiter explains that the meatballs are bull’s testicles, and when the bull loses the bullfight, the bull is brought to the restaurant, and this beautiful dish is made.
The diner tells the waiter that he wants the bulls testicles for dinner, but the waiter tells him that only one bull a day is brought to the restaurant, but he can have it tommorrow. The diner agrees. The next day the diner goes to the restaurant, and orders the testicle dish. When his food is brought out, he notices that the meatballs are extremely small. He mentions this to the waiter, and the waiter replies, ‘’Well sir you have to understand, sometimes the bull wins’’.
I’m actually reading The Sun Also Rises right now - I collect first editions and I’m finally getting around to reading that one.
BS, I ran the bulls when I was in the air force in spain. LOL

I've got a feeling the goring is going to be the least of his worries when he gets back to base. If I'm not mistaken, when I was in the service and stationed in central america, anyone who required medical attention due to sunburn could have been subjected to an Article 15....for damaging military property.
We called it it "Stupid Action Penalty".....
Even though all the Armed Forces are subject to the UCMJ, each service has a fair degree of levity in how it enforces it in order to allow commanders to establish a command climate that suits their needs and leadership styles.
I can only speak from my experience in the Army. Service members are servicemembers 24/7 and are subject to their respective service regulations, command directives and the UCMJ even when on leave or pass. We expect our servicemembers to be active and stay in shape, but where do you draw the line with regards to risk? Should an SF trooper or member of the Golden Knights be charged if they get hurt while participating in a civilian free fall club? It would also depend on whether or not the USAF Captain's unit (if he's in Europe) had given a safety brief or command policy forbidding participation in the running of the bulls.
There are a lot of variables. In the Army of my day, I would suspect that, had he not been violating any direct orders or local regulations by participating, a line-of-duty investigation would have been initiated and he may have ended up paying for some or all of his medical treatment if it was believed it was the result of his own negligence.
But apparently you didn’t do damage to US Government property when you did!..........
I hated that book! We had to read it in HS............
