Why not live by the Law by which all men will be judged? Just a thought.

Legalistic thinking puts the cart before the horse. People are saved FOR good works. No one is saved BY their own good works, unless you believe, as some seem to, that people can acheive the holiness of God if they only work a little harder. If you have caught yourself in a good work perhaps you should think of it as a gift God gave you and not a gift you gave God. We are all beggars before God and no one has anything to brag about.

I don’t believe sacrificing animals should be against the law, either.

Your turban seems to be wrapped a little tight this morning.

“Maybe even a point or two?”

Dude, the meaning of civilization is that not EVERYTHING has to be explained or justified. There are some things — indeed, many things — that the civilized person just “gets.” If you don’t understand what’s wrong with stoning, or any form of the death penalty, for adultery, I’m not going to lower myself to explain it to you. You’re a fanatic and a barbarian who is unworthy of discourse.

If you need to look up “discourse” in the dictionary, don’t blame me ...

Oh my sides... to be called a “fanatic” by the guy who can’t bother to propound an arguement, but rests his whole case in accusing me of being a barbarian.

Thank you, sir. This shot of irony is a true brightspot in my day. :)

I’m sorry to have given you a bright spot. You don’t deserve it.

Maybe you should move to Iran.
