Explosion killed five in JiNan By Boxun Jul 11, 2007 - 8:57:22 AM |
Boxun just released all the pictures received today.
The witness said police grabbed a camera from a lady who took photos and smashed it. One reporter lost the tape and was forced to leave. Media have received order not report this incident.
Witness said that at least five killed, it was from explosive not gas tank explosion. The license plate started Lu0, i.e. it is a government car. After explosion, the police immediately pulled the cars license plate and put it to the police car. A car arrived the scene with license plate: Lu 0-00001, which indicates the case is very serious.
Ping!
Hmm.
Terrorism has reached China.
Terrorism has been in China; the press is now there. Our Chinese friends tell us that Muslim extremists have been a problem for decades there, only it doesn’t get reported. But compared with what we find here and elsewhere in the world, we would probably consider it minimal.
Another food quality inspector being “executed”?
I bet its housecleaning before the Olympics.
When will the world figure out how to deal with the extremist and not let them enter their countries????? Send em back from whence they came and they can behave as they can get by with in the ME, etc.
Seems the East is like the West. No hay nada ver aquí, para andar por.
If there's one thing I'm pretty certain of, the Chinese won't allow "PC" to dictate their efforts on finding and naming the culprit.
Prayers for the innocent.
“Send em back from whence they came...”
Hell?
Hell Hole!
Thanks for the alert..........
“The license plate started Lu0, i.e. it is a government car.”
hmmm....So which gov’t officials are unaccounted for?
And we will be seeing this in our major free press when? At least their press has an excuse.
Notice two cars involved are double parked.
The car next to the curb does not appear to be the car with the bomb in it - the outside car has roof, trunk, and right side damage consistent with an internal explosion and it’s fire has died down. The curbside car shows no obvious explosion damage and is fully engulfed in flames.
Most likely scenario is that the bomb was in the street side car. The car next to the curb was parked, the street side car pulled up parallel to it, and the explosive device was detonated. It is not impossible (but unlikely) that the driver of the bomb car escaped.
A bit of a view at upper level Provincial PRC politics, eh? Maybe somebody asked to take a big fall resented doing a Zheng Xiaoyu?
Speculatively I find the People’s Liberation Army involvement in the Chinese “food and drug” scandal very interesting.
One Big Media story amongst many:
“The Chinese army is to take steps to ensure the safety of its food supply, due to fears unsafe products could harm combat capacity, state media reports.
According to a circular, food suppliers will have to pass hygiene and safety checks, and units will be ordered to monitor the supply chain.”
The PLA has been the power center of gravity in China since 1948 (understatement) and might be finding regional and local politicians and their cronies a bit uppity these days, hmm?
The Shanghai “political center of gravity” is very strong and getting stronger by the minute and regional factions are tempted to play both sides of the street.
In the end killing trumps money.
Nice analysis.
They also have many toys to eliminate inconveniences should they arise.:-)
It is quite likely that many in the power circle figured out that this recent scandal on food safety can be used to eliminate their political rivals. Finger pointing, smear campaigns, and accusations could fly. Some of them find themselves suddenly on the defensive, and feel the need to show their enemies that there would be a big price to pay if they are being pushed around.:-)
Actually, Muslims have been in China for a long time, probably centuries. They live in the western provinces. Actually, even Afghanistan touches a little bit of China. So China is not letting them in; they are already there. I think that Islamic uprising is a world phenomenon and therefore, affects China too. But not so dramatically, as China has more ways to deal with dissenters.
How do they deal with dissenters????
