Terrorism has reached China.

Terrorism has been in China; the press is now there. Our Chinese friends tell us that Muslim extremists have been a problem for decades there, only it doesn’t get reported. But compared with what we find here and elsewhere in the world, we would probably consider it minimal.

Terrorism has been in China for a while. Xinjiang province mostly. In 1997 when China's president Deng Xiaoping died there was a series of bombings and a riot in Xinjinag. My Chinese teacher was there when it happened. She was an eye witness to the riot.
