Virginia senator joins with Indiana's Lugar on proposal to narrow troops' mission

I do not understand his position. If he does run again I hope Allen challenges him.
Allen should announce RIGHT NOW for Warner’s seat. He will probably be running against Mark Warner for it. John Warner won’t run again - too old.
Warner has been selling out to the Libs ever since he put up a washed up former Republican attorney General, to run as an independent and draw enough votes to ensure Chuck Rob beat Ollie North.
Come on, Virginia! We need George Allen IN and Warner OUT as soon as possible.
So...another RINO, eh? This is getting sad. And of course, the MSM is relishing all of this, describing it as a “revolt,” a “groundswell of opposition to the President’s hardline stance,” a “potential mass exodus” and similar hyperbole.
hyperbole that many will believe on their first hearing, and hyperbole that will be repeated until most of the rest begin to submit to it as well.
When the congressional pukes of the 1970s denied military aid to any and all non-communist forces in Southeast Asia, they could be partially forgiven for not knowing in advance of the coming holocaust in Cambodia.
Today’s congressional pukes will have no such excuse.
Two more excellent arguments for term limits.
I voted for North over Liz’s ex. This weak politician must go, now.
Ooops, my bad. It was North that ran against Chuck Rob.
These people are the elites, but I can't figure out what they're the elite of.
Then a solid conservative candidate dies in a plane crash and the party is looking for someone to run. Voila, John Warner becomes an establishment candidate for Senate. No. I am not implying any foul play in the plane crash -- if you fly around enough in small planes, particularly over mountains, you run a substantial risk of having a plane crash.
Some of these marriages among the elite change the political landscape as much as marriages between royalty used to do. Think of the power shift that occurred between John Heinz and John Kerry. One day, Bonesman John Heinz is a fairly high-profile Republican Senator. Then a plane crash occurs, and pretty soon his wife is married to a high-profile Bonesman and Democrat Senator John Kerry, and Heinz's kids are volunteering on the Kerry campaign.
These facts are so plain and out-in-the open that there is no reason to use words like conspiracy. They are simply historical reality, and not necessarily bad. I am sure that I would personally like and respect some of the kingmakers and behind-the-scenes liasons and operatives who work for them ("manipulators" if you don't like them) who make things happen and change the course of history.
I wrote a novel called "The Figurehead" available on Amazon if you like this sort of stuff.
Elizabeth Taylor (no genius she) married Warner and among other things called him less animated than a wooden Indian, and “the dumbest man I ever met.” All things considered, Elizabeth is smarter than the average Virginia voter.
"the figurehead" montfort
And my novel was the first result. I have had this screen name for so many years, it shows how many years I worked on this novel. Ridiculous waste of time, because the real money was in my technical training books.
Warner has been the Middleburg, VA Senator and nothing more.
