Does anyone remember during the political conventions (Clinton/Dole, I think), someone had access to the Republican and Dem convention floors. They put a hidden camera in a flashy lady’s cleavage and then taped the men who looked right into the . . . camera.
The Republican men, showing great present of mind and self control (and maybe sensing a trap) did not look. The Clinton democrats got caught blatantly staring at the ladies bosom, LOL.
Is that video still available? “B**b cam”?
There is a subtle undermessage often implied in these “filmings” — Democrats are sexually aware (and hip), Republicans are sexually repressed.
But then there is the Fred/trophy wife “controversy.” So when a Republican has a pretty younger wife (and kids) he is not “hip” — just a dirty old man (if you ask Susan Estrich).
There is also a lot of insecurity in those who go to these lengths. I would take all this as a sign of our side gaining ground.
