"Assad is miscalculating. In the event Syria launches a gas attack on Israel, it's a virtual certainty that Damascus would be instantly obliterated by Israeli nuclear weapons."

Isaiah 17:1

An oracle concerning Damascus: "See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins."

We could see that Old Testament prophcy fulfilled in the very near future if Syria fires poison gas warheads into Israeli cities. Tehran would probably be leveled too since Iran has been supplying Hassan with weapons to use against Israel, including missles and poison gas.

stunning admission from a Syrian official. He said that Syria had "learned from the Hezbollah experience last summer

Arabs got a false sense of hope from last summer's conflict. What they're failing to take into consideration is that Israel, like the U.S., fights far differently against actual nations with traditional armed forces than she does against terrorist orgs that fight in the shadows and hide behind women and children. Far differently. Looks like the Arabs need yet another reminder....

“But today, they are the only logical conclusion if current events continue along their current path. It’s a terrifying scenario, but to those who trust that these signs point to the imminent return of Christ for His Church, it is, nonetheless, an exciting time to be alive.”

I find this statement to be highly offensive, given the context!

Have I missed something here? Isn’t the US Israel’s ally? We are aren’t we? If we are, does Syria really want to push this envelope?

Sooner, rather than later, Syria and Iran are going to have to step into the nightmare they have created.

As conditions worsen in thier own countries, they have ratcheted up the rhetoric, time and time again. Soon, they will have nothing left to fool the people with, and MUST make the move, if for nothing other than to save thier own skins.

Syria is gambling that Israel's performance in the Hezbollah war of June 2006 means that it has seen all Israel has to offer.

This could be the time that Damascus is turned into a heap of ruin. It makes no difference what kind of missiles the Arabs have. God goes before Israel, and He is NOT going to let Israel be destroyed.

The only reason the war in June last year didn't kick butt like they have done in the past is because Israel has a weak leader and he let it happen. He's trying to fight the same kind of PC war that Bush is. Had Bush done the "Shock and Awe" that was planned, those missiles would have pounded Iraq so bad, NONE of the Arab nations would have ever challenged us again. They would be fearful of our power. You can't worry about civilian deaths. It's war. People die. Do what you have to do to win, and do it quick. Crush your enemy into the ground. IF Israel has to nuke them, then it's because they started it.

Yes, we guess that Israel has nuclear weapons.

U.S. Air Force: Israel has 400 nukes, building naval force

A guess of my own from study says that it’s very likely that Israel also has something far more powerful.

[...some sincerity there but none to follow.]

But Israel’s weapons are of no consequence to the rest of us in the nations. Everyone knows that all of the western culture nations are friends of Israel, just as Rome was and is.

Jewish friends, don’t let friends be fooled by missionaries.
