I don’t like Rudy. However, I do appreciate that he is trying to reach out to conservatvie leaning minorities. Dubya was nominated back in 2000, because he was thought to appeal to minorities. Alias, the plan flopped. Today, minorities are more RAT than ever.

Time to face the music folks. Rudy will probably be the GOP nominee and therefore the next president

i think that tune you are hearing is a figment of your imagination : ) and mere wishful thinking....

Rudy has the most money and is top of the polls of the announced candidates.

It must really suck having to put that word "announced" in those sentences.

But I'm curious, what will the Roody Rooter line be AFTER Fred announces?

I’ll check back with you in about 8 months (February 2008). We’ll see if it is wishful thinking or cold hard reality.

Great!

Now, if he’ll just let one of them take his place as the candidate, we’re all set!

“The way I see it, a career prosecutor who is actually a conservative wouldn’t need a committee to help him figure out what to look for in judges.

This has nothing to do with picking judges, and everything to do with trying to be the GOP nominee for president.

If Roody hasn’t figured out how to fake being a conservative by now, another committee isn’t going to make any difference.

By picking an judicial advisory panel composed of members of the Federalist Society, Rudy is confirming that he will follow the recent republican tradition of letting the Fed Soc pick republican judicial nominees.

Highly unlikely.

Does that mean that you think Rudy would use the ABA?

Roody is not going to be elected, so it’s a moot point. But do you believe that any president would knowlingly appoint judges with philosophies that are totally opposed to their own?

Oh and which group was it that came up with such “conservatives” like Harriet Miers and David Souter?

It’s moot anyway. Rudy won’t get the nomination.

If McCain bows out and those votes start going to Giuliani, I think its probably over.

I don't see any indication of this happening. Look at what happened with the 'Rats four years ago. Dean had what appeared to be a lock and then in the course of a few days his campaign completely collapsed.

The issue here is that Guiliani is trying to get the party nomination, and this is part of a concerted PR effort on his part to do this. Even if only a small % are swayed by this gimmick, it might make the difference in the end as far as the end result for his campaign.

Look at how he governed nyc.
1- libs HATED him ( which has to be a good thing)
2- crime was cute
3-welfare was cut
4- taxes were cut
5-substantial increase in property values and legitimate business activity.
Seems like a pretty good record
