We will know if your dream holds only if GWB is “disinvited” from the Minneapolis convention next year. He and Cheney need to be elswhere “on business”. Preferably as far away from the USA that week as possible

Only people in FL can do that, and they may hold firm in the primary just to show they are “in charge” at the RNC. But when it comes to the general elections, Martinez won’t get many Hispanic votes, I predict.

I believe that he will not pardon Ramos and Compean, not because they have Hispanic names, but because he is too stubborn to admit that his “justice system” is also flawed: just like ever thing he has touched. He is too proud to do the right thing. If there is a third Supreme Court appointment, I look this time for an open Souter just to spite us all the more. But apparently ol’ John Paul Stevens is standing firm. Gerald Ford is very pleased: said Stevens was his greatest accomplishment!

Why doesn't he shut his big mouth and do the job that people have elected him to do? If anybody still has any doubts about his allegiance to Mexico, this thread should help clear those doubts.

Is this country out of teenagers? Oh, I forgot, they are all at the mall overspending on luxuries! And then, with all their buying power, they have great influence over the garbage goes on our televisions: they have the big bucks to spend on luxury items, so they get what they want on TV. A lot of problems could be solved by yanking them out of the malls, cutting off their money supply and forcing them to work in the summers. And I am not talking about hanging around in that same mall impersonating a sales clerk in some dress shop, either, I am talking about WORK - agricultural-type work that involves sweat and dirt and fatigue and broken finger nails and sunburn.

There are more irons in the fire than just immigration (North American Union). The setback in the Senate over the immigration bill is a festering sore to Bush right now, and he’s lashing out. The immigration issue opened the door to public knowledge of NAU, and that’s simply unacceptable. That’s just my humble opinion, of course, but it’s the only one that makes sense to me.

Your explanation makes more sense than anything else I have heard. Thomas Jeffeson predicted the current situation when he spoke about people needing to be careful about their governments (paraphrase). We better be careful of the current occupant of the WH; this fellow doesn’t have anybody’s interests at heart, except that of his immediate family, business associates, and George P. Bush.

A U.S. senator probably cannot be recalled because such provision is not in the Constitution. It’s never been tested. WI Republicans failed to recall Feingold some years ago.

NAU has flown under the radar for years, IMHO. We only began hearing about it during the immigration debate (at least I did). It still is under the radar in the MSM and elsewhere, but no longer here on FR. And I suspect enough of our pointed remarks to Congress about immigration included opinions on NAU, letting them know the cat’s out of the bag.

They opened the door. Now it’s up to us to close it.

Isn't Fraser conservative too? He and Patricia Heaton have a show coming up...

What a difference compared to modern day castrated Hollyweird limp-wristed whimps.

Completely! I can't take all the metros. Even Harrison Ford was ok once upon a time, but then he got that earring... ewwwww.

You know the MSM, with the exception of Beck and Dobbs, keep people distracted with tabloid news like Paris Hilton and missing persons.

Completely. And Fox is so on-board with that too.

When you strip everything down, all that is left is profits and greed, regardless of consequences.

Lust for money and power, exactly what this is all about, screwing the American citizens for it all.

It looks like a conservative could use this issue against any Republican senator as the basis for a primary challenge. It might be something that rank-and-file voters can understand.

Yep, and it will likely add to the anger felt by those who already understand.
