Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich charges that the United States has been waging a weak and "phony war since Nine-Eleven" and continues to lose ground to radical Islam.
In a speech to the annual conference of Christians United for Israel, Gingrich charged that instead of fighting to win, President Bush is now pursuing appeasement through a proposed Mideast peace conference.
Comparing that to the attempted appeasement of Nazi Germany at Munich before World War Two, Gingrich said, "We don't have a peace process. We have a surrender process."
Gingrich said the United States and Western civilization are in a global conflict with radical Islam, and must choose between victory and surrender.
Gingrich says Americans haven't faced up to the danger that threatens them.
Gingrich says President Bush's proposed Mideast peace conference will only appease America's enemies.
Gingrich says America is in a life-or-death struggle with Islamic extremists.
“We don’t have a peace process. We have a surrender process.”
If Harry Reid gets his way we do.
I agree with Newt on this one. We should be in a no holds barred fight to the death with these turds of the cult of death.

What’s to say, but he’s right!
Wow! One person who is actually no afraid to speak the truth.
A soft war is a lost war and we’ve been doing that since the end of WWII.
And Gingrich is mulling a run for President.
BINGO
They catch these islamic pigs (apologies to my swine friends), bring them to Guantanimo, treat them like they are on an all inclusive Islamic cruise ship, then release them so they can commit more crimes against humanity.
Playing 'catch and release' with animals far worse than the Nazis is suicidal.
I have a novel idea, catch, interrogate, then exterminate all who support the "jihad".
A dead jihadi will never commit his crime twice.
I agree with Newt on this one. We should be in a no holds barred fight to the death with these turds of the cult of death.

Without any doubt. But Washigton is more interested in doing what makes people feel good, as opposed to what RESPONSIBLY needs to be done to protect America — hell, just look at our border situation.
Put a REAL PRESIDENT in the White House, and things will change. Bring back Reagan and Ike...would that not be nice??
I'll believe that we're taking this seriously when we carpet bomb the so-called 'tribal areas' of Pakistan. You can kill the roaches on the kitchen floor, but unless you kill the ones hiding under the stove and the refrigerator, you won't solve the problem.
Gingrich is right on the money on this topic.
I hope the civilized world wakes up before it is too late...but I have seen precious little evidence of that happening.
Sounds right to me. Case in point- those PC rules of engagement.
You don’t win wars by being softer, less aggressive, less mean, less dedicated than your enemy.
Until Western Civilization wakes up and becomes harder, more aggressive, meaner and more dedicated than Radical Islam, we will continue to lose this war.
Heard the Newtster give this speech and it was off the charts. Dang!!!
Was reminded just why it was the theoretical conspiracy had to put Newt on the shelf...
The MEterners should be held responsible for cleaning up their own back yard. Nothing will succeed against the death cultists except brute force. They must be killed, and their progeny must be taught to coexist peacefully.
The islamists, the media and the democrats will not be satisfied until the West is defeated.
Newt, you’ve jumped the shark. Shut up.
I'll see that and raise you Truman.
