Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is threatening legal action against the makers of energy drink Mijovi -- because he thinks the beverage bears too much similarity to his own name.
Marcos Carrington launched the coffee-based product in 2004 and claims he was inspired to name the drink Mijovi after his girlfriend Jovita.
But the singer is demanding Carrington change the product label -- which is also marketed using the slogans "itsmijovi" and "itsmilife" -- or face a court battle.
In a recent letter to Carrington, Bon Jovi's lawyer Peter Laird says, "As you should be aware, one of Bon Jovi's most popular songs is entitled "It's My Life."
"We hereby demand that you immediately cease and desist all further use of the name Mijovi and 'It's My Life.'"

You may be right, but honestly, I haven’t heard ANYTHING he wrote since his first album. I didn’t like him then, I didn’t like how he sounds, I didn’t like how he acted, and from the odd glimpse I see, he’s still the same.
I’m sure he has a following, but I’m sure not one of them.
In fact I’m not a fan of anyone. I could care less about rock stars, actors, any famous people of any sort in the entertainment industry. They are all a bunch of kooks and weirdo’s living in their own little world detached from reality as far as I’m concerned.
What a wimped out punk..
Yes she did, and it sucked.
Try taking the liberty of listening to his music before posting BS about him.
If all that is true then Bon Jovi should stop looking so gay. It’s disgusting and unmanly with the earrings and the tinted hair. His blue collar dad should slap some sense into him. Or his wife should
Nope. Can't say I have. Maybe if I heard a song I might recognize one of them from some music I've heard playing in the background somewhere.
I haven't even bought a cd for about 25 years. I still have a record player and a stacks of records, (although I haven't played one for about the same length of time) I was cleaning out the basement and tossed out a few old 8 tracs a few weeks ago. a Deep purple, smoke on the water one, an old BTO (Bachman turner overdrive)An old Guess who one, 'the birds', and an old "Herb Albert and the Tijuana brass" that I had for some reason. (It used to be good stuff before rock really took off)
Oh I think I know the reason. ;)
I'm not posting B.S. It's exactly what I think of him. There's a reason I don't listen to his crap, I DON"T LIKE IT. And I don't like how he behaves, this latest arrogant vanity just reinforces my opinion of him, and proves he's still the same as when he began.
If you have the hots for him, good for you, to each their own.
Well John Lennon is suing Billy Joel because he wrote “In My Life” but Frank Sinatra is suing Lennon because he sang the song “I Did It My Way”. Jagger/Richards are suing Frank because they did the song “Paint It Black”........
Are you blind? doesn't look very "wholesome" to me. Just because he's married, doesn't mean he's "wholesome". He looks gay, and quite a few others think so as well it seems. That's the image he chooses to project.
For all you know, his marriage is a sham and he has gay lovers living in his basement.
Now Ted Nugent- there’s wholesome guy who has some moral values he won’t compromise, and he’s proud to be an American
You tossed "Machine Head" on 8-track? You should have FReepmailed me first.
Lazy, just stay in bed...
First of all, I think he’s doing a lot right given that he’s on the Forbes list. Second of all, hair is a big deal in New Jersey. Or at least it was. Third of all, Jon’s start was in Heavy Metal, and if you think back, all the Heavy Metal-heads had lots of hair. Fourth, so long hair for a guy, to you means the guy’s gay? I can think of a lot of men with long hair who were certainly not gay.
I spent my childhood just a couple miles down the road from Jon in the same town. This is a close family and from what I know they are hard workers. A Marine, a Playboy Bunny, solid marriages; there ain’t no gay to be found here.
So specifically, what does your “gay” look like?
I remembered that it wasn't in very good shape. Besides, I have the record otherwize I wouldn't have tossed it even if it was in rough shape. Who knows, maybe a good state of the art record player (almost worthless now ) and LP's will be worth something one day... (but I doubt it) If not it might make the grandkids scratch their heads in wonder some day.
Bon Jovi
Maybe I’m too old, but I don’t recall many top hits of his in years. Many bands are still together even without hits.
I recall many from the 60’s that I really liked and today, some still play, some don’t. That doesn’t make them popular to the market, only to my age group.
Most gay guys I know have really short hair.
Dude, he's a rock star. They don't wear suit and ties or pose for the cover of GQ.
For all you know, his marriage is a sham and he has gay lovers living in his basement.
Uh-huh.
