The Latest Megadeth album is great, not just music wise, but the brutal honesty that singer/guitarist dave mustaine throws at the UN and liberals alike the author above obviously can't take the heat and obviously can refute anything the songs mention, while metal musicians are known to have a bad rep (no thanks to people like that iconoclast writer william grim, who slandered Dimebag Darrell hours after he was murdered) people like ted nugent and dave mustaine are proof that more and more americans (whether or not the media will EVER talk about it) has had it with the overpaid idiots in congress the United Nations (more appropriately named the United Abominations by mustaine) and their failure to protect/serve the people who elected them into the office.

OK, I’m gonna have to go out and buy it.

It’s a good album. Dave hits many UN shortcomings and transgressions. Funny how the author tries to claim this is some right-wing attack. Dave’s always been a liberal and I think he might still be, but he is changing his outlook. The whole album’s lyrics show a change. At least that’s my opinion.

Terrorists and tinpot dictators the world over have no greater friend than the U.N.

Never thought I would buy a Megadeath CD, but this might be an exception.
The obvious bias rings out in the very first “reply” to the lyrics. I read nowhere a blaming of the UN for 9-11, only that the UN ignores the real threat to the world...and their own sins.

one of the things that stick out about mustaine is that he doesnt just go as far as to blame democrats or republicans alone, he goes after both sides (check out the album cover of “the system has failed”) shamelessly and rightfully so

agreed......this lefty writer ought to pizz up that rope instead of smoking it.....

I had known that Ted Nugent's politics were on the right side of the road. But I hadn't known that about Megadeth. Nor would I ever have guessed. Interesting.
I wonder what other well-known musicians are "in the closet" politically (so to speak)?

I heard the album - it’s OK - nowhere near as brutal as their earlier efforts. Their newer albums are all a little too poppy for me.
FUynny though how populated metal is by right wingers and libertarians!
Slayer - ‘Silent Scream’ - an anti-abortion anthem. Whoda guessed?

i have the CD, its been playing non stop in my mp3 player the last couple days.

the album is better than risk and cryptic writings this latest album sounds closer to peace sells which is probably my favorite megadeth album by far

i worked behind comerica park at the opera house all last summer..come playoff time it was HECTIC, but fun overall

Have you heard “Open Season” by Stuck Mojo? It’s on their latest CD. You can buy it only directly from the band, I think. They pissed off CAIR with the video that contained footage from Middle Eastern TV.
They were always openly libertarian, even when they were on Century Media.

Good stuff. I’ll have to check it out.

I am not a metalhead, nor would I have really considered buying a Megadeth Alblum, but this may spur me to do so. I had no idea, and will vote with my wallet.

"United Abominations," which featured cover art depicting a 9-11 style attack on the UN building in New YorkI'm not seeing that at all. Looks like some kind of death rays or meteors.
