"I hope everything came out alright."

You might want to rephrase that...

I hope it wasn't a crappy experience.

Doctors removed five small polyps during the procedure at Camp David.

Yikes. Now THERE'S a job I bet not many Americans are willing to do.

I'm toasting him with a beer right now. Bottoms up, Mr. President!

How much does the average colonoscopy cost? Just wonderin’. Around $4000 here in Maine.

If Libby is pardoned now...

Appeals stop

He has NO opportunity to clear his name.

What'd Tony Snow say when asked about a full pardon? It's not off the table. This case should be thrown out on appeal...if not Bush will give Libby a full pardon.

I had sedation both times although the first time, when they removed seven polyps, I was awake through the whole thing. The only pain I had was like a gas pain when they inflate you a little to remove the polyp. The second time, I was out like a light the second they gave it to me and didn’t wake up until I was in the recovery room.

Sounds like a shitty job for the doctor, though.

it depends on where you have it done at, a hospital 4k sounds about right, and outpatient surgery center about 2k plus about 700 up for the dr.

[Did they find his head? I believe it’s been up there since the start of the debate of immigration reform.]

According to the latest news reports, President Bush’s head was not found during his colonoscopy. However, doctor’s did have to remove the president of Mexico from Mr. Bush’s rectum before continuing with the procedure.

Well, SOMEONE has to pay for all those Medicaid losers that use the hospital emergency room as their primary care provider for such horrible conditions as sunburn and insect bites. Might as well be US!

When I turned the computer on the headline was “Bush has 5 polyps removed”. Was totally disapointed to find it wasn’t a story about liberal judges.

Politicians seem rarely to die of diseases like cancer that afflict most of us or people we know. Subjectively, it seems like the number who actually die from cancer is substantially lower than the number in the John Q. Public population.

They probably get more screening than the average citizen.

That said, having lost many family members to lung cancer and colon cancer, I would not wish the disease on... well, not very many of them (certainly not President Bush!)

yep hospitals ALWAYS overcharge, I will never see a bill so I am not sure just what my dr charged nor the outpatient surgery center charged either. all I know is I don't owe a copay!!

Well, life-termination and removal of a living human fetus costs maybe $500 at the high end, so a colonoscopy - which A) removes either little or no tissue; b) is performed through the already-present colonoscope c) only if polyps are present - should not cost that much more... What gives?
