GOP DISCONTENT
The biggest political upset so far of this election cycle reflected rank-and-file Republican disgust with the party establishment when former State Sen. Jim Whitehead was defeated Tuesday as the anointed successor to the late Rep. Charles Norwood in a heavily Republican northeastern Georgia district that includes Athens and suburban Augusta.
Dr. Paul Broun, a little-known physician, outworked a complacent Whitehead to win the battle between two conservative Republicans. Broun's aggressive mail and telephone campaign attacked an overconfident Whitehead, who did not even respond. Whitehead had led Broun, 44 percent to 21 percent, in the first round of balloting.
Although the seat will remain in Republican hands, Whitehead's unexpected loss terrified those incumbent Republican House members who had thought themselves safe for re-election in 2008.

Fear is a good thing for all incumbents. Term limits would be even better.

The RNC will treat the Whitehead defeat as a mere pimple.

Fear is a good thing for all incumbents. Nothing more beautifull than a terrified politician.
I received a hilarious fund raising "survey" from the Senate Republicans. Its just about hysterically attempts to portray that bunch of yahoos as being tough on illegal immigration. That's progress of a sort I guess.

I do not fear the Republicans as much as I fear the demonrats and those who walk hand in hand with the demonrats. Those included in a list would be too long to print, thus I shall conclude with America is not just politicians walking hand in hand with the enemies of America, America is her citizens. I believe anyone walking with the enemy should be afraid, very afraid, for Americans have held their tongues long enough, and America's politicians and others have supported people who only wish Americans harm. This is now becoming a common known. Will our efforts be enough? I do not know, but for the time being let us pray words will be enough to wake those who sleep in our own congress, not to mention the others who like being asleep, or in a continual state of denial. The grenade launchers on the corner are for later, if needed.
Although I do not support a candidate yet, and may not come out in favor of any of the candidates other than those having been consistent on issues concerning myself, my family, and America, I read all offered, as much as I possibly can, but I must now go running for my new tinfoil hat. I think the comment on the grenade launchers on the corner, may have done me in..../s
I may not need it but sometimes it is nice to have a hat on my head, so I can hold in a thought, and not allow the thought to slip away.
Thoughts slipping away, or disappearing is a something of mine which I regret. I lose more every day, as does America with the traitors in our midst. Our leaders addressing the nation's safety would be nice, come 2009, but this is not an endorsement. For actions now are preferred, and I would hope our leaders would not wait till 2009. Mr. Hunter has the bulk of my attention thus far, to be fair to those desiring another to lead, although this comment is far from an endorsement for anyone.
Thank you FR for attempting to do and cover what the old media refuses to do.....maybe the media should hire more people from south of the border.../s Again Thank You FR, for putting up with me. I am neither here nor there now, I simply am shutting up and going away, hopefully briefly, but I would bet many wish I would simply disappear, as well.
When and if I am eaten by the beloved kitties, I hope my posts will not have been in vain, but knowing the truth I know otherwise. Nearly all of my posts are in vain. Good Luck to US all, and may God Bless America. I hope and pray America can survive without the Good Luck, but by the will of God.

I hope they’re scared. I hope they all fear what could lie ahead for them. Maybe they will remember who pays their salaries. They just gave themselves raises and Harry Reid is threatening to with hold funding for our brave men and women in the military.

The House Republicans with Boehner at the helm are the only group of Republicans in DC that actually are “Conservatives” for that I give them full credit.

no, I only post, I do not write professionally for my meals, believe it or not, I am only a citizen of this Great and Wonderful land. Besides, I could never say or type anything worthy for publication. I know this so I only post. When the post maybe perhaps causes one to think, I have only typed another post. Where a post goes once posted is not my concern. Instead my concern is for our nation's leaders to do what they were elected to do, and hold true to their oaths. Should our politicians hold to their oaths America and Americans will find greater safety, in a world bent on America's destruction, and hopefully once again I will hear and know the words "all is well" is not an illusion. Thank You though. But I do not know what Carol Herman will think of the such a comment, made by yourself, toward a nobody like me, but as I said, Thank You, again. I hope and pray Carol Herman is a conservative for most times I care not whether the author or an author is conservative as I read. I try to view what was typed and hope I interpret the type in the way the author intended. Thus I do not post for anyone in particular, nor do I endorse anyone in particular. I simply hope and pray the think tank known as Free Republic will not have been in vain, and politicians will know there are people out here in the wild woolly America called citizens who care where the leaders are taking our citizens on a path not of our citizens' choosing. I applaud all efforts by anyone, no matter party affiliation, who will act in America's and American citizens' interests and not something or someone who stole into the nation to wreck havoc on our nation....I have been too wordy again, I hope I will be forgiven, yet I desire America to Win this War, and our politicians are doing something else. So I am more than a little angry. I hope my anger does not spill over to my posts and I try to keep my thoughts simple as not to totally offend everyone (although some need offending) but at some point every day, I do hope and pray America will not be defeated, yet I have seen as have others the sleep-in for defeat, and I know more is being discussed on how to defeat America other than the War behind which many hide. Excuse me....I said earlier I would go bye bye for now, and I should... otherwise I too may go off on a rant, where I too will be arrested for having not been politically correct, or worse, I could be eaten by the kitties.

We are in big trouble and the air of unreality by the establishment and for that matter people on this board is bizzarre. Usually, when a party takes a shallacking like we did in ‘06 they figure out that their back is to the wall and make changes. and usually when they do that they come close to winning or maybe even win two years later. But, that is just not happening.
