“Only if you can prove you paid for it with gold.”

I’m sure the local smithy can scrimshaw me a bill of sale.

Remember that when some jihadist is slitting your throat with a rusty blade after reading Ron Paul’s Administration as being even weaker against Islam than Clinton’s.

How would the muslim get into the country? Ron Paul would close the border. Now, I understand the complain with Paul's foreign policy, I don't really agree with it either, but I find if funny that those who post the most about the Islamic threat hold up as their foreign policy hero a President who refuses to close the border.

I talked to Ron Paul’s supporters today and they are down the line 9/11 hoax idiots. They think the planes were remote control into the bldgs. And their views go on beyond any form of reality.

You ran into three nutjobs who support Ron Paul. Why do you think that all Ron Paul's supporters believe the same thing? If some Neo-Nazi's voted for Bush over Kerry, would that mean that Bush supporters are neo-nazi's?

It makes no difference if we have small or big government.

If the islamOFascists win, that is it.

The Paulites don’t want to get it.

We who live in the world of reality understand, we will always have those in our country, such as the paulites
who will continue to support the enemy because they live in a narrow world and believe that wishing makes it so.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich were on the losing end of a 411 to 2 vote that reaffirmed America’s partnership with Israel and urged the UN to censure Ahmadinejad of Iran for his remarks about destroying Israel and prevent him from obtaining the nuclear weapons.

Last I checked, foreign policy was the job of the executive branch.. or were you ok with Pelosi going to Syria?

Islam is the problem. Is the goal to destroy Islam?

I don't know, but I find it funny that the people who are most concerned about fighting the muslims are in love with a guy who called Islam a religion of peace, and refuses to close the border. Imagine if Paul did that.

The time of Fortress America is long gone. This is a good read, even if it's long.

End of Dreams, Return of History

The West avoided dealing with Islam as much as it could. There's a reason Columbus was looking for another way to the Far East. We avoided as much as we could until its oil fueled the economies of Western Civilization. Leaving Iraq now will be considered a defeat by Islamists, and we'll be dealing with a resurgent and emboldened Islam.

Thanks for that post, I think this is where you an I fundamentally agree. Let's, for the sake of this argument, call smaller government "winning the war at home" and the WOT as "winning the war abroad".

You are willing to lose the war at home, it neccessary, to win the war abroad. I am the opposite. I am sure we both want to win both, but I would give up the war abroad to win the war at home.

Why?

Well, let's say we pull out of the middle east right now. I agree that would suck, it would empower our enemies, etc. But, it would still take 50 years for them to conquer us.

What happens if we lose the war at home? Look at France and the Netherlands. These people are so dependent on the welfare state, they are incapble of even functioning as a people and culture. That is, they are being overrun by muslims, right now.

If we go down the same path, the same will happen to us.

Plus, your guy, W, is actively letting whoever wants to walk across our border. Paul would at least close the border.

How about this: I will start trying to find a small government candidate to be better on the WOT, but you get your WOT people to stop increasing the size of government faster than Carter could in his greatest wet dream. Deal?

Fair enough. Meanwhile, the people fighting this WOT are calling islam a religion of peace and refusing to close the border. Meanwhile, they are increasing gov't faster than ever, turning us into a sissy nanny state that, like France, will never be able to fight the muslims. Good plan.

Why do you think that all Ron Paul’s supporters believe the same thing?

They are not the only ones I have talked with, besides the uninformed Paulites on FR.

Just imagine if Paul called Islam a religion of peace and advocated an open border. Yet, you support the guy who does just that. If that's not supporting the enemy, I don't know what is.

You are so convinced L.Ron will be the next POTUS, I believe you went far beyond just a brownie.

I believe you ate Betty Crocker.

Don’t forget the $196 million tax dollars Bush is sending to Fatah. Either with us or against us, he said.

Since Paul agrees with Pelosi on the peace in Iran, that is your problem.

It makes no difference what truth is said, the Paulites can’t accept the truth so double talk and spin comments.

Help me come up with a list to start posting, we’ll pretend Ron Paul did these things:

Ron Paul is a traitor! He advocates for open borders, in a time of war! He calls Islam a religion of peace! He gave $196 million to Fatah!

What else is there?

Didn’t he speak at some muslim organization affiliated with terror recently?
