Being a little facetious, but can you envision a scenario where Fred gets nominated, then feels guilty for beating the others, says HRC really deserves the office, and withdraws to support HRC so he can return to Law and Order. In other words: I don't think there is the fire in the belly with Fred like there is with HRC.

Thompson known Hillary Clinton, and what she’s capable of, probably better than almost anyone outside her inner circle. I would not be surprised if one of the deciding factors for him deciding to take a serious look at running in the spring was due to the fact that he didn’t see anyone else being capable of stopping her.
