Watching Albert Arnold Gore Jr., Robert Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr., and their fellow juniors consistently duck the tough questions about the scientific shortcomings of their elaborate phantasm of global warming, carbon footprints, hybrid automobiles, fluorescent light bulbs, greenhouse gases, toxic emissions, shrinking icecaps, melting glaciers, homeless polar bears and boring documentaries, it suddenly hit me: if it ducks like a quack, it must be a quack.

The venerable American institution of quackery -- quack science, quack medicine, quack

LOL!

Quackery abounds, because people will believe what they WANT to believe over what they see, and we have so many people believing that America is the root of all evil.

I'm a Red Onion fan myself. The Red Onion, across the road from Kellogg's San, and the bane of his existence, was a tavern which featured red meat, beer, and (gasp) cigars where his male patients, most of whom were dragged to the San by their wives, repaired for a respite from the enforced "healthy" regimen imposed by the San. The San is in the ascendant today (even on this website) but believe me, the Red Onion will return. Recently, I've experienced a certain schadenfreude from the fact that health food fadists have likely consumed far more adulterated Chinese soy powders, tofu, etc. than the more retrograde meat-and-potatoes man like myself. Results, of course, remain to be seen and I wish no one ill, (that's the old Red Onion talking), but me, I'll bet on myself.
