SAN FRANCISCO -- Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani on Monday called for an aggressive push to diversify America's energy use in order to dry up cash sources for terrorists and reduce an increasing threat from Iran.
...Giuliani combined his familiar stay-on-the offense-against-terrorism theme with a pitch for new investments -- including tax subsidies -- in alternative fuels from ethanol to solar to wind.

Free markets, Rudy?
I just heard an interview where you stated you were the most conservative of the bunch on fiscal and economic matters. Subsidies for alternative energy is not a fiscally conservative position.

"Energy independence" requires more domestic oil drilling and more domestic NUCLEAR POWER. A real conservative "leader" would tell people that truth. Instead, Rudy is talking politically correct Democrat-speak about "alternative" sources that can't deliver a fraction of our energy needs.

Subsidies: Are like having a blood transfusion from your left arm, into your right arm, through a leaky hose.

Don't know, but if we could harness the hot air from both and convert it to usable energy ...

If Giuliani reaches the White House his is the kind of policy Sean Hannity will be complaining about after he helped him get elected.
It's amazing how Hannity and others can fool themselves into thinking certain candidates are conservative and then try and express shock when they behave like the RINOs they are.
