It’s slightly off topic but since you posted the various graphics. the question for all:
Since accurate and precise temp readings only started since the invention of the thermometer(1840’s IIRC) and even then not in a global sense, how can anyone reliably measure the global climate when nobody knows what to compare it to?
Ice bubbles and tree rings can only measure trends and GS believes tend to rely on single day record breaking temps (hottest day ever recorded etc.)
How do we known it may have gotten EVEN hotter in the past but didn’t have the instruments to measure it.

Regarding the ice core studies, it is claimed that the ratio of various isotopes in ice is a very good indicator of the temperature at which the initial snow was formed. But don't believe me, go Google it for yourself (-:
