Its all about training.
It is not enough to decide you want own a gun for defense, you have to decide you want to KNOW HOW TO USE a gun for defense.
It is a product of the media disinformation that guns have the magical talisman ability to kill.
Is that because there is a waiting period for shotguns or because he doesn't have enough in stock and has to order them?

Why don’t they just let the cops protect them? Oh, wait...
Some scumbag decided to litter the neighborhood with ADT security systems advertising signs. That’s lousy and sleazy.
The state has the death penalty, too, and have actually used in in the last few years.
The only surprise I find in this article is that you can still buy guns in CT.....
The state has the death penalty, too, and have actually used in in the last few years.
Guess that makes Letterman a complete hypocrit, eh?
How’s that? Sorry, I don’t get it.
Letterman lives in CT, gets a speeding ticket driving back and forth to NYC on a regular basis. He’s completely anti gun, and anti death penalty.
He could live anywhere...but he choose a state that still allows guns, and allows for the death penalty.
???
This doesn't make sense.... Is Connecticut truly that lame?
Thanks for the explanation. All liberals are hypocrites.
I don’t think they are scared. An arrest was made. They are now prepared.
No problemo, and yes, yes they are.
Here in Pennsylvania, we can go buy a gun, walk out of the store with it, stop by the courthouse for a concealed carry permit, and then drive home with the gun in the glove box. It’s not Vermont, but it’s as close as it gets.
Letterman also has a summer place in Choteau, Montana. It’s in the western part of the state. He also gets speeding tickets here. This is a pro gun state also.
Every home needs on of these:
Not from the area but I'm thinking waiting period. Sounds like handguns are 90 days and shotgun/rifles are two weeks there.
I love Idaho. Walk in the store with cash and walk out with gun.
I live 10 minutes away from where these poor people died.
Consider the scenario of confronting an intruder bent on rape and murder:
In Ct., gun owners are liable for accidental shootings so a law abiding citizen would lock the gun and ammunition up. So in the middle of the night, you have to get to the gun, unlock the safe and load the gun before the killer brains you.
The sad part of this story is the mother should have stayed at the bank as the only option of getting her kids and herself out alive. Her decision was to submit to the killers threats and remain loyal to her kids. This was a tragic mistake.
