Yeah, Yeah, Absolutely, Good to see you ???

THAT IS NO ANSWER !!

Goodness me.... He could claim later he was talking to someone else in the crowd. Until he says in Plain English AND in his Printed Direct Mail “I SUPPORT THE FAIR TAX”.

Yer Dreaming or Projecting hopes.

Besides, Bush said the same thing and was Governor of the 9th Largest Economy in the world which is funded BY a Sales Tax and NO Income Tax and he hasn’t done JACK about it.

Fred didn’t even KNOW what this was last week and today we get this 2 second quip?

Romney is more convincing IMHO !

Oh and just in case anyone didn’t get that last line...

/sarc/

= )

Well, maybe the Fairtax site caliming it as such will force him to clarify. Or maybe he’ll keep his mouth shut and ride the wave.

We’ll see what happens if some anti-fairtaxers confront him.

Fred is not the plain talker that Fred supporters make him out to be. He’s very good at not answering a question clearly when he doesn’t want to.

He still hsan’t said jack squat about globalism and the SPP.

Beat me to it. Until we SEE his response in writing — and, given the history of politicians throughout recorded history — even THAT is not a sure thing!

Fred is not the return of Ronaldo Maximus. That is his screen persona. He is a lawyer from the South deeply into special interest lobbying. That is not a good sign.

I am not sure what video you looked at but the one I saw shows clearly FDT answered the FairTax fellow “Yeah, absolutely!” to the question “if Congress passed the FairTax would you sign it into law?”. After FDT answered yes, the FairTax fellow said “Fantastic!”

That was unequivocal.

As to your assertion that Fred hadn’t heard of the FairTax until recently, I find that extremely hard to believe as one of his closest friends and advisors Congressman Wamp is one of the sponsors of the FairTax bill in Congress, HR 25.
